I just renewed my Brilliant subscription after a long time away. Last time I lost interest due to starting off on easy courses which were not a challenge for me. However I don't want to skip ahead and miss important fundamentals.
Is there a way on Brilliant to take a overview quiz for a course and see how you score, so you can decided if it's a good starting place for you?

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Thanks for the suggestion, Mike!
You might have noticed that we've added "learning paths" to the courses page since you've been away. This way users can start from the basics, or start somewhere in the middle and rest assured that there's a place to review the foundations, and that there are plenty of fun challenges to come.
We've been considering kind of information to capture from users who want better recommendations, so this is a helpful suggestion. Keep on the lookout for changes along these lines in our course recommendations.
