In this week's "Clever 4-term Sequences" (from level 3 of Algebra and Number Theory), is the sequence (1,4,2,8) valid or all terms have to be in the order of the progression like (1,2,4,8) or (8,4,2,1)?

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Comments
no only sequences which are arranged in order of geometric progression must be taken into account
(8,4,2,1) and (1,2,4,8) are distinct geometric progressions.
