Hi everyone! This page is an introduction to linear relationships. It is short but I hope everyone finds it useful, enjoy!
Okay, so you maybe asking HOW CAN YOU DETERMINE THE SLOPE AND THE Y-INTERCEPT OF A LINE????!!!!! Well the graph of every nonvertical line crosses the y-axis. The y-intercept is the coordinate of the point where the graph intersects the y-axis. The x-coordinate of this point is always 0.
Now what is y = mx + b? The linear equation shown is written in the slope-intercept form of an equation. Its graph is a line with slope m and y-intercept b. Slope m represents mx and y-intercept b represents b.
A linear relationship has a constant rate of change. You can find the rate of change m (mx) and the initial value b (b) for a linear situation from a table of values.
My next discussion post will be about Identifying Functions from Mapping Diagrams . Feel free to comment below for any ideas and improvements! Hope you liked it! Thanks!

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

But I am still not joining. I will help when i find time if you want, but I don't have time for this and my own programming. Plus, I've never collaborated with anyone on a program, I like to code solo :)
