Yah it may seem so after reading the question I am just going to put forward. Imagine that there was nothing in this universe-no homework, no exams, no girls(!), no countries, no earth, no sun, no stars, no galaxies, nothing at all!! Then, the question says, what would have been there?
I know it sounds dumb as the answer is quite plainly-Nothing! But for me its quite thrilling to imagine it. Whenever I close my eyes to imagine such a "null-universe" something pops out and starts life. Would that really have happened if there was nothing? Would something have "popped out" to start the universe? Would it have remaimed always nothing? Or something more? Or I have actually gone mad?

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

There would have been physics and mathematics.

Taking your idea on a serious note-when there is NOTHING then how come physics and mathematics? I mean, let's say ,physics requires something to be explailned but that "something" is missing.

Haha, physics doesn't require anything to be explained. But everything requires physics to be explained.

A perfect vacuum perhaps. Or, if we live in a multiverse, the void between the universes. We may not know until we escape the universe itself.
Exactly same happens with me and I like it
