Differential equations section is very hard to work through

I've started learning DE's with a variety of resources. I've used Khan academy, a textbook, and various youtubers like professor Leonard, blackpenredpen, and patrickjmt. Brilliant is the absolute worst. It takes everything that people hate about their textbook and somehow makes it even harder to digest. If you look at any of the youtubers I mentioned, their comments are full of people saying how terrible their teacher/textbook is and how great it is to find someone who explains the topic in plain English that is easy to understand. Textbooks look great to academics who have a Ph.D and want to explain every nuance in full detail, but to an amateur learning it for the first time this is hard to grasp and quickly becomes frustrating.

Brilliant somehow makes it even worse. Explanations are sometimes a full page of equations without a single number in them. Yeah I know this looks great to someone with a math degree but most of the people here don't have one and just want something to help them study that is easy to understand. The explanations feel lazy. I know it's hard to take a complex topic and make it easy to understand but that's sort of what people are paying for isn't it? I really had high hopes for this but I'm going over material I've already learned using other resources and brilliant somehow makes it confusing and aggravating.

  Easy Math Editor
