I have recently, and before that, shared a few problems, all of which were changed and edited by I-don't-know-who. In my opinion, they have been made worse: my titles changed, my pictures changed, the very essence of the problem changed. And with spelling mistakes (such as "calander" instead of "calendar". And I hadn't wanted to include calendars in the first place!)
My problems are not my problems any more. They have been changed and made worse.
Stop making unwanted changes to my problems!

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Andrei, I fully agree with your observation. Having said that, I maintain that editorial board has a right to make improvements. It is up to you to revert back, in case the changes are not accurate according to you. It appears that all the staff members cannot be of the level of Calvin Lin.
Hi Andrei,
Thanks for contributing your problems. We really enjoy them, and would love to share them with more people by making it more engaging and relevant. Brilliant staff and moderators make edits to problems for simplicity and clarity. The edits are well-meaning and done with best intentions, but sometimes things slip through.
I was the person that edited your By the fireside problem. I apologize for the spelling mistake "calander". I edited the title and image as I did not see how it was relevant to the problem. I also rephrased the problem to make it clear what "Once upon a time, there came a January." meant.
