Since the New Section of Biology , I think the Emergence of the Universe Is A Good Beginning to Study of Biology
There are several explanations for the origin of the Universe. There, on that subject, religious and scientific explanations. Discussed here the scientific view, ie how scientists seek to explain the phenomena observed in the Universe. No one knows for sure, but scientists calculate that the universe has come into existence about billion years. It seems impossible to say such a thing - billion years is a long time!
What led scientists to think that the universe has had a beginning ?
The Hubble telescope captures birth of stars to show how they were billions of years. Analyzing starlight, it is possible to know how fast they are moving away or approaching us , its chemical composition , age , temperature and mass , among other things .
The scientists then found something unexpected : the galaxies are moving away from Earth !
For you to better understand what is happening , make several balls of paint with a pen on the rubber of the balloon ( balloon birthday ) and start blowing. See what happens to the distance between the ink marks .
The analysis of starlight shows that galaxies are moving away from each other, as well as the marks made in the bladder . This happens because the universe , such as the bladder of our example , is expanding .
But if they 're expanding, we can conclude that , in the past galaxies were closer . The further back in time, they were closest .
We can assume, then a time when all matter in the universe was compressed into a single point , infinitely long in huge temperatures . Then what happened what cietistas call the big bang . It was the beginning of the universe , there would have occurred about billion years .
After the explosion , the initial temperature , which was more than a trillion degrees Celsius , began to decline , and how atoms make up matter today , originated from the protons , electrons and other particles .
First , the atoms are grouped in clouds of gas . About a billion years later , the first stars and galaxies appeared .

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When we make any place vacuum it's tendecy I to compress ,how can a vacuum place can expand ? It do Not have anything in it.
ummm... that is not true..... when you say vacuum has a tendency to compress you are wrong... anything with no air inside it has a tendency to compress because there is air pressure acting from outside... in space there is no air pressure... so there is no compression.. got it?
Got it.thanks!
You are right that vacuum has a tendency to compress, but that happens when there is external pressure that is forcing the vacuum area to collapse ( e.g as in our normal world, the atmospheric pressure would collapse a balloon) U cannot relate this concept with big bang. Also scientists claim that big bang was an enormous explosion, and explosions advance , they do not collapse. Another thing to be pointed out is as per many astronomers our universe expands into nothingness ( I don't know, there are many theories) , we don't know what our universe expands into, and when we know nothing about the surroundings, we cannot say anything about contraction or expansion.

Or may be there aren't any surroundings actually. It may be possible that the movement of universe in other dimensions appears to us as if it were expanding. We cannot really justify our observations based on the knowledge of just three dimensions, when it has been proved that there are more.

there is no air in space ! so the vacuum outside the object and inside the object will cause a net force of zero . In this way the object will neither compress nor expand .
Awesome! This gives a good bit of context on astronomy as well! It's wonderful seeing sciences connect to each other. :P

Go for it! @Christopher Boo and a few other people did a lot of contribution to chemistry as well!
my question is that why the universe is expanding?? what,s the theory behind it?
I am not sure that i am true but it happens same as in case if we keep a balloon or something that has pressure of its own I.e the pressure created by our universe , tends to expand to reduce or attain equilibrium pressure with the surface in contact. ....i wonder if there is another universe surrounding our universe?
universe is expanding bcz the in the universe their is vacuum so when big bang had done then the total fore exerted on the matter body is remains constant that why the universe is expanding
we learned that the Energy is conserved in any how in the universe but i am not agree with this cz before big bang explosion there is a possibility of certain amount of energy was present to contract all the matter in the universe
do all of you agree with this?
May I know how different atoms and molecules of space arrived on earth which are now even in very complex form like dna.
A scientist said that watch the planet Venus crossing the sun and you will know the distance between Sun and the earth, please can you explain? How can we do this?
