Equation Containing Floor Function on both sides

Hello, does anyone know how to solve an equation containing an unknown inside a floor function in both sides?

Consider this example:

2x+3=5x+1 \lfloor 2x + 3 \rfloor = \lfloor 5x + 1 \rfloor Thanks in advance!

Hint: Show that 1<x<1-1 < x < 1 .

Hint 2: What happens to 2x\lfloor 2x\rfloor and 5x\lfloor 5x \rfloor when xx increases by 110\frac1{10} .
