We will be featuring different members of the Brilliant community, so that you can get to know them better. For the fourth issue, we are featuring Harsh Shrivastava

One of his problems that I love, is Don't try $x = y = z$ , because it is an Inequality with strange equality conditions. It requires ingenuity to solve, so give it a try if you dare!

Harsh has been consistently writing solutions for the past year, and improved his presentation over this time. I enjoyed reading his one-line solution to finding the minimum of $a^2 + b^ 2 + c^2$ given $a+b+c = 6$ .

1) Tell us more about yourself
Hello, I am Harsh Shrivastava. In hindi, 'harsh' means happiness, with is contrary to the english definition. I am a happy person, and not a harsh person :)
I live in Bhilai ,a small town in Chhattisgarh,India.I am in grade 10th. I love coding, playing basketball and listening to rap songs by Eminem while doing maths. My all time favorite movie is "Now you see me". I joined Brilliant about 1.5 years back. I LOVE THIS SITE. Due to my exams, I have to spend less time on Brilliant, but I am still back everyday!

2) What is one fun fact about yourself that the Brilliant community doesn’t know about?
Hm, there are so many I want to share that I can't only list one. Let's see:
I can't solve Rubik's cube.
I love python(not the animal :P )
I can convert almost every three pointer shot I shoot in basketball.
BUT I cannot touch the rim of basketball :P
I love playing Nba 2K15 & Fifa '14.
I hate questions which require artificial thinking, & tedious calculation.

3) What do you want to accomplish in the next few years?
I aspire to become a software engineer in future because I love coding. It is awesome for my hobby to also become my job. A software engineer can make any program to suit his/her need. Also a software engineer can make softwares that can help millions of people.
But my school does not supports anything except 'school studies' ; so its difficult for me to code on a regular basis.Therefore currently i am unable to work towards my goal.But i will start learning Java,C++ as soon as my school gets over.
I mostly code in python, but I know a lil bit of javascript,C++ and php. Though I have not made many computing projects, some of them are - a space war game,a program that opens web pages,a text to voice app,an app that tells the current stage of your mobile phone, & some mathematical programs(which i love :) ).

4) What do you wish for Brilliant?
I want Brilliant to run forever. It should get funding from governments of every country. It should be listed before sites like AOPS. I request everyone to advertise brilliant as much as they can. I am sure that everyone knows why Brilliant is awesome :)
