  Easy Math Editor

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Hi Harshit and Nishanth -

The Techniques Trainer is an experimental feature. We launched it specifically for Algebra and Number Theory people who are Levels 1 - 3, to see if users would find it useful and to figure out how much work it takes to write the summary pages (like this one).

That is why you both (and many others) are not seeing it on your homepage... yet :)

@Silas Hundt Silas,

I became level 4 in Algebra and Number Theory this week. Does that mean I'd lose the trainer when the next problem set kicks in?

Parth Kohli - 8 years, 3 months ago

@Silas Hundt Okay :)

Nishanth Hegde - 8 years, 3 months ago

(1) Some review problems are not 0~999 style but still the answer box requires that. (2) Want a space for note taking (3) Also want it for level 5 (4) Is it possible to join the editors? :-)

Brilliant gives proper training. But I hate this website as it asks for subscription all the time. It seems this is a piece of junk. After giving such great activities and knowledge, it wants to take money more.

Hitarth Diwan - 2 years, 9 months ago

Hmm I just noticed this. How can I find this on my home page? I just seem to have stumbled upon it as a result of noticing it on somebody else's profile.

It's on the main page of "challenges" in the same column with Number Theory and Algebra,just above the button "Start/Resume"

Is there a technique trainer for Physics? If yes, then why am I not seeing it despite of being in level 3?

Sambit Senapati - 8 years, 3 months ago

Log in to reply

Hi Sambit,

There isn't a technique trainer for Physics... yet :) If people use this feature often in Algebra and Number Theory, we will consider adding it for physics as well.

sir how to submit a solution to the problem

Sai Vinod Pandiri - 8 years, 2 months ago

Hope the app or the website developer can make it possible for users to attach photos in the dispute box. It's easier for the users to circle up the problems (e.g. typos) in the solution than typing a lots of words describing where the problem is.
