This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Go on. Is this tied to another insurgent movement in mathematics?
Isn't e=2.71...?So why the 21st of January instead of the 27th?

Show how you would derive pi in https://brilliant.org/discussions/thread/pi-day/
I calculated the algorithm to find the value of π yesterday. I can calculate the value upto 31 correct decimal places(My calculator cant calculate beyond)............Its very interesting.........
As of today, I identify as a Taoist - see the Half Tau Day page.
I highly recommend reading the Tao Manifesto and the Pi Manifesto together. I came to the overwhelming conclusion that Tau was the superior circle constant, but I'm open to input!
Happy 1/2 Tau Day!
