Has anyone on this site attended IIIT-H

I'm very much interested in Computer Science and programming and came across this college - International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad which offers research facilities even for B. Tech students.

I was just wondering that if anyone on Brilliant attended or is attending IIIT-H and if so, how's the college (I've already heard it's top class).

Yes, it's fantastic. I've done some research about it and just found that the cutoffs are so high (it was around AIR 34 to 3000 something in 2012) that it is daunting to get admission there; considering the fact that a lot of people will have way better scores in JEE than me. But the college is just awesome. I was more excited about the research opportunities it gave. By the way, did you attend it?

all IITs are awesome, they are regarded as the best university of the world and has its name because even if president's child will have to give JEE exam with other 15 lakh students to get admission. and life of a IITian is gorgeous. source: my teacher is a IITian.

BTW this IIIT is not the Govt. one(the Govt. ones are 'Indian Institues of Information Technology'). This is a Public-Private partnership.

IIIT hyderabad is a private institute which is world wide famous for its computer science , every year many coders from there go for ICPC world finals (it is a coding contest ). it is best among all IIIT , and a very good college indeed and better than all IIT as far as computer scienece is concerned
