We are so sorry for the despicable behavior of a single sad person.

They have been banned. For what it is worth, it was not the first time that person was banned. The story about wanting their account deleted was a ruse. We have received no requests from them to delete their account. They were previously banned several weeks ago for cheating through multiple accounts, so we assume the trolling was maliciously motivated.

To prevent this in the future we will work to develop a system of user moderators, so trusted members of the community can delete content that shouldn't be there.

We are very sorry to all of you that come to Brilliant for a hygienic intellectual experience and had to put up with the posts of this morning. It makes us very sad that someone would behave that way.
