I have had some failed experiences at teaching myself calculus. Like, I couldn't go beyond certain parts of Taylor's series , had difficulties with even basic integrals (u-sub) etc.. I'd like to know how can I teach myself better....

You may try this link , download the calculus PDFs (Three parts) , and cheat sheets are also useful. You will notice the simplicity used in explaining various ideas.
