Help in understanding a few things on brilliant?

I want to ask some queries related to brilliant and asking ques.

1)How do we see the no of points a problem awards when we solve it. That showed up earlier, i remember that. Did i mess something up, or has it been officially removed?

2)How long does it generally take for an unrated problem to get a level?? Since i haven't answered that many ques, i cant set the level of any problem to above 3(that too only in some fields). So i leave that option empty. However, it has been 3-5 days and still no level has been given to my problem?? How long i have to wait?

3)How do we draw a graph in a solution/ques we want to post.I have seen many ques. and solutions where people have posted their own custom graphs(drawings, curves, colors etc.). I had to post a solution involving the graph of the sin function. Since i didnt how to make a grah on the comp., i posted an image. Any way to avoid this??Any website??Or is it possible with LateX?

Pls answer these questions as soon as possible. Thanx in advance :D

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Comments

  1. Desktop users can see the points when they hover over the level indicator.

  2. The level depends on how others are interacting with your problems. If no one is viewing and answering them, then we will not be able to collect any information about their difficulty, and so would be unable to declare a level.
The level that you can set is limited to your current level in the topic. Please set a reasonable seed level instead of trying to make everything level 5 (which is how I read your comment of "i cant set the level of any problem to above 3").

  3. Use whatever image generation format you are familiar with. Suggestions are Paint, Geogebra, FXDraw.
