This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

@Mardokay Mosazghi lol I got no idea I never tried. whenever it's nontraditional mathematics on Brilliant I never give it a go (even though I could solve 90% of the problems if I invested the time) because it's most likely too time consuming for no good reason. Btw I liked Madara way better. now you put this stupid pikachu on lol... not hating on pokemon, but I love Madara. btw don't tell me anything from manga or episodes - I'm like 10 episodes behind.

thx and yeah if you wanna fix a typo - your own or someone else's - use the star before the word like

Alex: Your stupid

Mardokay: *you're

Oh btw if they call you Grammar Nazi ignore them - they just jelly or just trollin ;)

similarity and dude it is not chalangeous

Mardokay Mosazghi - 6 years, 9 months ago

6.25 as 5\20=bd\10 then we can find bd = 5\2 the area = .5 × (5\2 )× 5=25\4=6.25 unite^2

Aya Alaa - 6 years, 9 months ago

CBD and CAE are similar. Therefore, BC/CA=BD/AE. Thus BD=2.5 units. Area of CBD=BC.BD/2. Answer is 6.25 unit square
