How can Brilliant.org help brilliant people who were not provided the right opportunities during their high school years? And now they are in their 20s, 30s, 40s,..

I was thinking of this while doing some problems. I am 42 and fortunately, I was able to take some advantage of the opportunities provided me during my high school years. Will Brilliant.org help people who may have not had this opportunity and are now older? Say in their 20s? 30s? 40s? Does it make sense for someone in their 40s to be solving these problems (assuming they could) apart from personal interest perspective?

Though it is not necessarily where we concentrate our outreach efforts, we do believe we can eventually be a a way to identify talented adults who missed their opportunities at a younger age, or just talented adults who have had opportunities, but would like new ones elsewhere. We believe at a global scale, that it is the youth of the world that matter more for demographic reasons, but see no reason why the product we are building cannot evolve to benefit people of all ages. Eventually we do think we can be a place where talented people of all ages can be found, and connected with causes and organizations that need them.

Thanks. This is giving me fond memories of ~25 years ago when I solved similar problems and when I can't, it reminds me of the frustrations from those days:-( A great benefit is that it feels like I am clearing some cobwebs in the brain. With a Masters in Engineering and an MBA, I can say with a probability of 0.99 that the only mathematics I have used in the last 20 years is some basic additions and manipulation of numbers for my time sheets and for project numbers!

According to me, sir, age is never a parameter towards learning and exploring. Age does not matter when one has the determination to do something below his/her age. Brilliant, according to me, allows all age groups, and is a space where deep minds are welcomed, irrespective of their ages. And by your personal interest perspective, until you are really willing to explore and learn, there's nothing wrong in it.

The set of abilities and opportunities of a person does not contain age variable as its element, a typical mathematical answer of your question.
