This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.
When posting on Brilliant:
Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

It's really intimidating that even with all that math and computing power helping him, it still took 88 dates to find a compatible person.
I don't think I have ever used math to find love that wasn't the love of a question or idea rather than a person.
That said, love might have once used math to find me. My high school girlfriend and I met in my precalculus class. I dunno, it might have been my effortless grasp of the properties of logarithms that caught her eye.
I think that the value of all his effort really resulted in having women contacting him and therefore enabling him to actually have 88 dates (among 88 dates, someone has to be "the one", I mean (though it would be cool if there was actual data on it)). That was the principal difference, that now he didn't message but was messaged, where in the beggining he had to send each message if he wanted a response.
Truth be told, he could do a crawler to seek those responses by sending automated messages, but then his messages would be unreal and spambot-like. Computers and algorithms, at the present time, are better preparated to analyze big chunks of data than they are to speak with persons, and he did that. That he recongnized that fact is proof that he is good at his field and knows where to use (or not!) computers and present technology.

Everyone has somewhat of a different experience as well... "Human brain's complexity" hahah...need to be simplified to be put into maths. Funny, there's already something like that called economics but... maybe it can spread into a broader category. I dunno lol. :-=)

By far, one of the most awkward chain of comments I've seen on Brilliant... I'm just glad to be "in" on Peter's love life!
Calvin Sir, how can be maths used to find true love?

Every one knows the formula for LOVE, it's
y=5x1;x2+y2=1,y=∣x∣,x=−∣sin(x)∣
Can you give a derivation.....????????????????
Hahha, hard to say... Love isn't really defined well enough to put together some fancy equation... X"D
