How often should you do brilliant?

I'm using brilliant most of the days and I don't know how much time I should dedicate to it everyday. I'm mainly doing the math and science courses and later the computer courses. Also after finishing every course should I do some practice problems on brilliant and should I use pen and paper while doing them?

I'm also currently studying in 10th class.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Hi I'm in grade 11. I'm using Brilliant most of the time at the weekend, because I don't have enough time during the week.

And I think you should do practice if you want to recognize the stuff from a course. I did some courses just for fun and therefore I don't see the necessity to do practice in these courses. But if you do a course to learn something and you want to remember it, then you should take the time and do the calculations on paper. Even if you don't have the correct answer - don't care about it, take a piece of paper a try to recalculate it and try to understand it !

And I highly recommend it to use pen and paper! If you are doing something in geometry, then this is very helpful. And especially if you are doing something in the higher community problems in Number Theory, Calculus or Algebra, I don't know how to beat these problems without pen and paper! And you even don't have to "waste" paper for Brilliant: When I return from school, I take a few pieces of paper (from school), which I don't need any more a use the free spots for math.
