This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.
When posting on Brilliant:
Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

I attempted everything in maths and chem. But I left 3 questions in physics. For me, physics was very difficult compared to the kind we encountered in the model papers. I should have prepared better. Chemistry and maths were very easy, but I have made 2-3 careless mistakes in each(or so I think). Overall, I think it could have gone better, but I'm quite happy with it nonetheless. Hope advanced is better.
It was okay but I'm disappointed with physics going downhill. I made careless mistakes and a couple in maths as well...
According to the resonance answer key I'm getting a total of 303.
I'm happy with getting a full score for chemistry(really hadn't seen that coming). But, as I said, I'd be happier if I hadn't messed up easy questions in physics and math out of carelessness.

That is indeed good , 120 in chem, perfection. I just hope cbse doesnt have any contradictory views regarding any question as i cant see my mark fall further down
Yes i too am pretty dissapointed with the careless mistakes i have done in math and phy. It has cost me much

I want to ask something about the question based on the force on the solenoids, I know that the NET force on inside solenoid is 0 but isnt the force radially outwards. Please help friends.
@Ronak Agarwal
–
If Net force is 0, then you cannot specify its direction anymore (null vector has no direction),
truely what you can say is that the force is radial on each element and on the whole it becomes 0, but since the net force vector was asked and it has 0 magnitude, hence it has no direction. ( it is too some extent i believe a matter of definition, we want a vector to have a fixed direction and a fixed magnitude, radially outwards is basically every direction )

I am expecting 176/360,I messed up a lot in physics (solved only 15 out of which 8 were correct). Also chemistry went bad (68/120) and maths was lengthy (83/120).I think I will be preparing very hard for the advanced exam.
Maths was very easy! But physics was a bit tough! Maths was a little lengthy so I was left with little time for physics... I'm expecting around 220, can that be
considered good? Cause I'm not satisfied...
This years physics was kind of horrible! It was really lengthy as compared to last years paper. Maths was also lengthy. Chemistry was the easiest of the three. Didn't expect that CBSE would set such tough paper .

It entirely depends upon you, whichever you prefer.. Its also peoples belief that the online paper is usually easier to promote it.. but i actually dont know if its the truth.
"Desolation" means a state of destruction or emptiness. Once a king ordered to kill every person in the town for maintaining the peace. So in the absolute frame, he created desolation , but he called it peace. Hence it is a great ironical situation. @Gautam Sharma

How much are you expecting ?? @Pranjal Jain
What about Maths and Chemistry ?
They were much better. Though I felt the exam was lengthy a bit. I mean I had to guess 2-3 questions in the end, while I don't have much bad speed.

And yea, hope CBSE doesn't change answers. That would be bad.

Waiting for Deepanshu's reply!
Congratulations Ronak ,Shashwat and Mvs Saketh. Brilliant's top scorers in MAINS. :)
Sorry if I missed some one.

can anyone upload the question paper..!!!

Just wait for some time. I'll upload a note soon with question paper and answer keys.
My attempts:- maths - 24 physics -21 chemistry -26 maths was lengthy for me and thus i got too less time for physics.
