Hi. I feel desperated because i feel things aren't going as they should with me. I've been developing my math, and I'm right now level 3 in math. But i come from a public educational system that isn't enough for this. I also don't have and never had someone able to help me. The private school students get more attention... Just because they have some resources i don't. I think this isn't ok. What should I do? Accepting it is all I can do?

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

There's plenty of information out there in terms of books and lecture notes and such that are very accessible. You might want to take a look at those before anything.
A quick Google search for "Number theory pdf" yields plenty of usable results (PDFs), same with "Classical Mechanics pdf" and such.
Also, get in forums where you can ask questions; Physics Forums is a good example that's not too professional (unlike Physics.SE, which has some fantastic info, but it's fairly formal).
There's plenty of info out there---use it wisely.

Claro, puede responderme en Espanol! :) He probado muchos libros y llevo un entrenamiento consistente, pero eso me frustra. Gracias por su comentario!! :)
Hi Diego,
We also don't think it's okay that some students get more attention than other's on the basis of privilege not merit. Ultimately we would like to evolve to become a website that can provide anyone like you with the motivation to go beyond the constraints of your local school, and provide you with the people to help you do it. Ultimately, we will strive to become a way for you to find opportunities outside of Brilliant. But we can't do all of that yet,
What can you do to help yourself now? I don't really know enough about you to offer anything more than conjectural advice. You don't have to accept your current condition, but you might have to tolerate it until you are in a better position to change it. And you certainly are not alone on earth, or on this site in feeling like you don't have the resources to learn what you want to learn and be what you want to be.
Do you have any plans for college?

I have my plans already (lets see what comes on the way). But i have some plans already. Well, I'm doing everything I can do. I've been consistent in this last months, also participated on NIMO, taking other problems of local olympiads, I've being at practice section and techniques learner... But i feel sometimes that isn't enough. I just want to see other's points of view about this, because i really don't know how to act in this case.
Internet learning! There are great websites like Khan Academy and MIT OpenCourseWare and so on. I think they help learning a lot. And good luck!
Hello, I have participated in IKMC (International Kangaroo Mathematics Competition) and ISMO (Interschool Mathematics Olympaid) but unluckily, i have some problems with some Geometrical stuff... Anyone for help??
