This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Rather than preparing for iit from class 9 it is better to improve your basics in algebra, trigonometry and some other concepts in your syllabus.Although geometry is not included in iit portion it's really worth looking deep into it.learning what you will learn in 11th and 12th in 9th is not such a good idea.Concentrating on physics and chemistry equally is very important

How about Brilliant Tutorials and BMA ?

BMA IS NOT SO MUCH BENEFICIAL ACCORDING TO ME. YOU SHOULD TRY SOLVING HIGH DIFFICULTY QUESTIONS.

@Rohit Nair Hmm...Okay! So what are you currently using now?

Krishna Ar - 7 years ago

You can study from BMA IIT Foundation books of mathematics, physics and chemistry. Refer H.C. Verma - Concept of Physics.

@Arpit Sah other than bma iit which books are more difficult than these bma themselves so that i can get good marks in olympiads like nco, nso. imo also?(sof)

pulkit gopalani - 7 years, 5 months ago

@Pulkit Gopalani To clear the first level of sof exams like nso, imo and nco, you don't need to study anything additional, just study your syllabus books, but for the second level of sof, you can refer H.C. Verma, R.D. Sharma, Together With, Disha(Physics), etc.

You can go to their web site and download their application form.At my time the only mode of enrollment was to send the form thru post. The money can be transferred online.

You need not start bothering about IIT JEE at this time.

Instead, you have to strengthen your basics in Classical mechanics, geometry, algebra etc.. And just it is worth learning basics of calculus.

Brilliant wiki can help u strengthen the base.

Then it can also help crack exams like KVPY.

It is worth devoting your time to learn the roots... It will be very helpful later, whatever these guys say.

Also give a try to exams like KVPY.

Just don't go to those bulls**t coaching centres to waste money. Free resources available online are pretty better.

Good luck.
