See here. Such usernames are not called for on an educational site, especially one like Brilliant, which is almost like an institution. There are also kids here who may be a bit sensitive to such names.
This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.
When posting on Brilliant:
Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

For the record, the member mentioned changed his name to "Sorry Everyone." So keep in mind he meant no harm :)
In general we would prefer if everyone used their real names on Brilliant. It tends to engender more considerate behavior. If you see a fake name that you find in someway offensive, then feel free to email me at discussions@brilliant.org. Also you should feel free to politely ask someone to change their offensive fake name if you see one.
Judging by the profile it looks to be a fake which person uses to cheat rather than study. I hope Calvin and other administrators take a serious look at it.
That can be a name. What is vulgar in English need not be so in other languages. In India we have some names which are normal for us but look abusive when uttered in English context. On the other hand there are words in English which look normal but are complete abuse when uttered as Indian languages' context.
Trust me. That is not his actual name [Yes, I know it's a 'he']. According to his profile, he's from Bangladesh and has also won a bronze medal at the Asia Pacific Math Olympiad-2013. That narrows it down to 6 names. You could dig into it more to find out his actual name if you are interested. I have better things to do (like solving this week's problem sets!).
@Ahaan: It would have been better if you'd sent the staff a private email about this. This is not something that I would discuss openly.

If people would be a little less sensitive to what others did or said the world would be a much better place. :-)

I Agree , Here Is Place for Study Seriously !
As the Great Shakespeare said '' What's in a name? The rose by any other name would smell just as sweet''.

The name was not Sorry E. He changed it recently.
Names dont affect ones performance...after all its not anything abusive or insulting

What's the use of cheating? We come here to learn new things. Cheating on an online site is ridiculous. The person would be harming himself.

Well,Ahaan is Bengali(the national language of bangladesh), so am I, and the name does not have any meaning in bengali. -.-

I am saying that in general what I am saying is true and we have no right to comment on somebody else's name.
I definitely agree. People who have this should forget about joining Brilliant.
What a nonsense...
We might discuss about this if his name would have been Lorry E ?
Why are we discussing about this if its just Sorry E ??
