All grading completed. All scores in. And we have our top 10 from Round 1. We had 51 submissions and scores ranged from -5 to 92, while the IPhOO keeps the streak of no perfect scores. Here are the top 10 from Round 1 (attached).
These 10 participants have made it to the top 10, will receive certificates for their performance, and have a chance to participate in round 2 of the Open Olympiad, whose dates will be announced later this week.
For those listed above, you will receive details about your certificate via e-Mail later this week.
Congratulations again to all those who participated and for those of you who didn't make it, especially those who just missed (a lot of you scored in the 50s), there are chances for you to participate again in future contests. Also, you can participate in Round 2 of the Open Olympiad but you will not be eligible for official prizes or an official score.
More news later.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

First of all, IPhOO is part of a series of Science Contests. The IPhOO is the International Physics Online Olympiad. The Open Olympiad is the third of the IPhOO's contests. Contest 1 was open to all high-schoolers of the world. Contest 2 was for students of AoPS' WOOT Math Training Program. The Open Olympiad was open to people of all ages around the world. Round 1 was open to everybody, and Round 2 is open to view but only the top 10 from Round 1 (posted above) will be able to participate.
If you want to participate in the IPhOO, you should register and wait for e-Mail updates about future contests. Thanks for your interest!

Actually we would love to, but we are doing the best we can. It's hard enough to give prizes and collaborate with Brilliant for prizes for 10 people + medals + T-shirts. It would be even hard to reward everybody. But thanks for the feedback and enthusiasm.
