Seeing the past results of people present on brilliant, i could observe that only 3-4 people of a single batch do "really well" in jee!! this urged me to ask question to the fellow people on brilliant that "is spending time on brilliant really helpful for jee preparation?"
NOTE: - i have no hard feeling for anybody on brilliant, this note is just coz of my curiosity!

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

It should be used only for recreational purpose and should not substitute real study time.
It can be helpful and its not necessary for you to use brilliant. Use it if you like it and also learning new things. It can be really helpful because there are many good questions for JEE and there are many people(some teachers and some passouts) who can help you in preparation. I use it because i get to become a part of this amazing community and learn new things.

now i saw the result and its just the same!! just a handful of people above 2000!! now what do u think?

As much as I know you are from vmc and so the coaching stuff - modules, workshops, tests are more than sufficient for JEE. But in your comment 'handful of candidates in top 2000' please go through the fact that how many people attempted this years paper from brilliant, I think there were handful attempters as well :)

This year the result will be much better than last year, maybe 3-4 people with AIR less than 100.
Arpan Banerjee, Prakhar Gupta, Raghav Vaidyanathan, Utkarsh Singh and Karan Siwach are among the ones who worked on Brilliant. They made us all proud. There could be many more in the merit list of IIT-JEE 2015.
a response from u would be highly appreciated!! @Ronak Agarwal @Pranjal Jain @Deepanshu Gupta @Karan Siwach @Nishant Rai and others!

There are plans to develop out JEE preparation much further! Stay tuned for more information.
Most of Brilliant is currently catered towards "I want to learn more about interesting fun stuff". Through such exposure, you will pick up the necessary knowledge and information to work on the JEE problems. Of course, such an exploratory path would not be the most efficient way to prepare for such a specific targeted exam.

Is there a reason why almost everyone here is indian? I haven't seen a single post for preparation help for English unis. We have somewhat tricky entrance exams too (STEP). I was thinking of posting a few of my favourite questions from the Cambridge entrance exams.
i understand that
People have posted many jee questions and notes, so i believe you dont need more plans but it would be very good if you will include all those questions under JEE topics.
