Is it Okay to look at the solution to a problem?

Sometimes I try to solve a problem on this website, but I don't know how to do it. So, I end up looking at the solution to the problem. Is this a bad idea? What if when I look at the solution, I I try to understand the solution to the problem, rather than read it and move on. Does the latter method work?

It's okay! Brilliant is a place for learning. If you don't know how to solve a problem, read the solution and try to understand it. Don't passively "read" through; after reading the solution, try to solve it again w/o looking at the solution to see if you understand it.
