This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.
When posting on Brilliant:
Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Seriously ? Exams like JEE don't require you to solve each and every question but solve around 80% of them correctly. And guys like you I mean you can just complete them given that it is just your day. Still cross your fingers and see what happens. Good luck :)
Paper 1 was scoring i suppose
Most students couldn't get much in P 2 cause of the -ve marking in all the questions.
Im getting 105 in P1 and 95 in P2 :/
To be frank, I found Paper-1 was somewhat weird especially Chemistry. Interestingly there wasn't a single sum from physical chemistry in the sense ionic, electro and kinetics.
i felt there was no proper distribution of topics in any subject.. like in maths, topics like complex numbers, conic, calculus, were either not there.. or were there in amount untraceable..!! in chemistry, what?? ssly, no physical chem at all?? bt yea, phy, was distributed.!!
It was lengthy. Questions were subject style. I did a good move by doing integers first and then attempting multiple option one. I feel this years cut-off may drop for counselling by at least 20-30 marks. What do you think?
Same here P1 tough P2 went good. My physics got left in P1 thats why just approx getting 90. P2 Getting again 92. So I should be about 150-170, dismal scores. Hope to get something decent in any IIT. This year I feel cutoffs may drop drastic.
The no negative marking of P1 was made useless by giving a tough paper. Anyone has any ideas what I can get in IITs?

128 in paper 1 n paper 2 132 as per resonance's key n I am doubtful as I am expecting that my marks will decrease...waiting for Narayana's key to confirm.

Hey, thanks :) Btw my rank in engineering is 71 in wbjeem.. Might be pharmacy in which i got 157... and in iit adv score is 200 :( Nyways i'm planning for eng physics at iit delhi or guwahati(if i'm lucky) or else electronics and electrical at bits pilani.. What r u al planning for?
JEE not only needs brain but luck, dont take a drop un-needed. Just take whatever college even good local college. Within maybe 1-2 years you will get to the level of IIT guys in terms of job and all. Or proceed to give GATE and Mtech from IIT.

Paper 1 was really tough !!!

What were some of the hardest questions that you saw? How did that compare to the problems on Brilliant?
Sir, the only thing that makes the questions hard is the time constraint. If given enough time, every problem can be solved if one has good concepts.

paper 1 was disaster for me......

Yeah, that's what I felt after giving the paper! it is very wierd !
Well, check your answers for Paper 1 on Resonance website (right now only they have put the key) and tell me...
