Hello everyone. Good to see that brilliant has created a separate JEE tag. Now that JEE 2014 is pressed and folded, and that i have been one of the candidates, i would like to draw your attention towards some essential factors which decide your success. These points, on which i will further elaborate, are born out of my own experience of preparing for JEE for 2 long years. Let us have a look at some DOs and DON'Ts which you must keep in mind during your 1 or 2 years of preparation.
1) NEVER NEGLECT BOARD LEVEL TEXTBOOKS.
It is a common myth that board level textbooks are useless for JEE and most of us tend to ignore them. If you are one of this category, then i must warn you! you are doing a great damage to yourself. Let me share with you my own experience. Until the time 3 months prior to JEE, i too used to neglect NCERT. Then, when my boards approached, i picked up NCERT , and to my utter amazement, all those topics in which i was not strong (like inorganic chemistry, electrochemistry, optics, probability, etc.), became crystal clear upon having a reading from NCERT, followed by solving in-text examples and problems. So, focus on NCERT from day 1 itself. It will help you to strengthen your fundamentals. I would suggest that whenever a fresh topic is taught in the class, you should have a reading of that topic from NCERT before the class commences. This practice will make your classes a lot more interesting and you will be able to grasp the concepts with a greater ease.
2) NEVER STRETCH YOUR CAPACITIES.
By not "stretching your capacities", i mean that you should not force your body to study beyond its capabilities. Say, for example, i have seen my batch mates who used to force themselves and used to study till 2 a.m. or 3 a.m. and also took very less sleep (5-6 hours approx.). On the other hand, i used to go to bed at 11 p.m. and used to take a hearty 8 hour sleep. More than often, i used to end up doing better than them in the phase tests. I am not boasting off, but the logic behind my reasoning is simple enough. Studying with a totally fresh mind is better isn't it? At the same time, if you find that 5-6 hours of sleep is enough for you and you find yourself fresh in the morning, then i would suggest you to continue with your habits. My only point is that never extend your body beyond its capability. That's it.
3) NEVER DEVIATE FROM BASIC LEVEL BOOKS FOR THEORY.
Now this is quite important. I have seen lot of students (including me) running after fancy foreign author books like RESNICK HALLIDAY AND WALKER, MORRISON AND BOYD, PAULA BRUICE, S.L. LONEY, etc. I mean, studying these books is a great thing, but very much time consuming. The only difference between these books and other basic level books is that these books cover the theory part in a really great depth, which is a good thing but not really required for JEE. To tell my own experience, i used to flatter myself by bringing books like J.D. LEE, UNIVERSITY PHYSICS, MORRISON AND BOYD, SOLOMEN AND FRHYLE, I.A. MARON, HALL AND KNIGHT etc. I used to enjoy thoroughly reading these books. But, at the end of the day, i used to realize that i have wasted my time. I could have scored better in my JEE, if, instead of spending time in reading these books, i had solved a few more problems from the same topic. So, my friends, i would strongly suggest that read your theory from basic books and still if you feel unsatisfied, you can just "REFER" these books. But never "READ" them whole.
Let me list some good books for theory and problems.
Note - This is my personal opinion for best combination of books. If you feel satisfied with the books which you are using, do not go for the below mentioned books. However, if you are in search of some good books, i assure you that below mentioned books can suit you greatly.
PHYSICS - THEORY
a) NCERT
b) Your coaching notes, otherwise read D.C. PANDEY (set of 5 books, arihant publications)
Note- It is my personal observation, that D.C. PANDEY, in terms of theory portion, is better than H.C. VERMA, because D.C. PANDEY is specifically designed for JEE only.
PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY - THEORY
a) NCERT
b) Your coaching notes, otherwise refer O.P. TONDON for additional points.
INORGANIC CHEMISTRY - THEORY
NCERT only.
Note- As far as JEE inorganic chemistry is concerned, if you take a glance at past 10 year's papers of IIT-JEE, you will recognize the fact that nothing much is asked beyond NCERT level. HOWEVER, there are some topics like COORDINATION COMPOUNDS, EXTRACTIVE METALLURGY and QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS which demand some reference apart from NCERT. For these topics, you can refer some standard coaching module. (ex. - RESONANCE, FIITJEE, BANSAL, etc.)
ORGANIC CHEMISTRY - THEORY
a) NCERT
b) Your coaching notes, or notes from standard coaching module.
Note - If you do not have access to standard coaching modules, then i would suggest you to buy some good book like MORRISON AND BOYD / SOLOMEN AND FRHYLE. Again, i am warning you that do not waste time in reading the whole book. Just look up those reactions and mechanisms which are not given in NCERT but are given in JEE syllabus.
MATHEMATICS - THEORY
Hurray!!! Not much theorizing here!!! Math is a subject which is mostly based on application. Here, i would say that just go through the major formulae, understand the logic and derivation of the formulae, and then just practice loads of problems from the topic. Maintain a small diary and jot down all important formulae of math in that diary. You are done.
PHYSICS - PROBLEMS
a) H.C. VERMA - OBJECTIVE 1, OBJECTIVE 2 AND EXERCISES.
b) Your coaching material.
c) D.C. PANDEY, including solved examples.
d) Previous year problems (1978 onwards, with special emphasis on subjective problems and "true or false" problems)
e) I.E. IRODOV (Optional, only go for it if you are able to solve 95% or more problems from other sources.)
f) In last 3 months, start solving revision packages. (one provided by RESONANCE is most appropriate in my opinion).
PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY - PROBLEMS
a) NCERT in-text problems and exercises.
b) Your coaching material.
c) O.P. TONDON - solved examples.
d) Previous year problems (1978 onwards, with special emphasis on subjective problems and "true or false" problems)
e) In last 3 months, start solving revision packages. (one provided by RESONANCE is most appropriate in my opinion).
INORGANIC CHEMISTRY - PROBLEMS
a) NCERT in-text problems and exercises.
b) Previous year problems (1978 onwards, with special emphasis on subjective problems and "true or false" problems).
ORGANIC CHEMISTRY - PROBLEMS
a) Your coaching material.
b) Conversion problems from NCERT.
c) Previous year problems (1978 onwards, with special emphasis on subjective problems and "true or false" problems).
d) Once you are done with all these, and feel confident in organic chemistry, you can try "ADVANCE PROBLEMS IN ORGANIC CHEMISTRY BY HIMANSHU PANDEY".
MATHEMATICS- PROBLEMS
a) Your coaching material.
b) Previous year problems (1978 onwards, with special emphasis on subjective problems and "true or false" problems).
c) Arihant books (especially "NEW PATTERN IIT-JEE MATHEMATICS BY S.K. GOYAL)
d) Any other good source which you may find. Just make sure you practice thousands of problems from each topic)
e) In last 3 months, start solving revision packages. (one provided by RESONANCE is most appropriate in my opinion).
Note- i) Math is an art. You wont be able to master it in 2-3 months. I have seen people who kept on delaying math until they failed miserably in the end. So if you are one of those who think that "I will look after math later", Then i will just say one thing- "WAKE UP!!!".
ii) You don't have to start solving problems from above mentioned books randomly. I have listed them in order, i.e., the one at the top has to be solved first. Also, when making a transition from one book to another, keep a considerable time interval (1-2 weeks) in between.
4) ON "HOW TO MAKE NOTES"
I am one of those who believe in "STUDYING BY WRITING" methodology. It is extremely helpful way of studying. You tend to remember more stuff for a longer interval of time, if you have a habit of making your own handwritten notes. However, if you feel that you can retain things easily by reading, i would recommend you to continue your habit. This one is for those who wish to know "How to make notes". Math doesn't involve note making so following steps are in concern of physics and chemistry (especially).
a) Have a reading of NCERT prior the topic is taught in the class.
b) While sitting in the class, just concentrate on what is being taught, and don't make fair notes at that time. Just jot down the points which you find important in a rough notebook.
c) After returning to home, again go through the concepts taught in the class, recall all the explanations, and then write them down in a separate notebook in a clear, lucid and neat and clean manner.
d) Highlight the points which you find important. Also, you can refer a standard book parallely to aid the note-making.
e) Apart from these mainstream notes, i would recommend you to maintain a separate notebook for "SHORT-NOTES" , containing a brief summary (important facts, formulae, tricks, etc.) of each chapter. Make sure you don't make it too long. This will help you for quick reference at the time of revision.
5) ALWAYS HAVE SOME TIME FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR HOBBIES.
You should always spare some time everyday for yourself, your friends, your hobbies etc. Devote some 2-3 hours to these everyday. I used to study a good deal everyday, but also, i used to go for long walks and cycling with my best mates every evening, to keep myself in good health and good spirits. Also, i used to make sure that i give fair time to my guitar and my keyboard. Remember that good music will help you to maintain positive vibes around you. Occasionally, i used to go for a classic movie, or for a game of cricket or for a dinner at a restaurant. These things will freshen you up and will prevent you from living a monotonous life.
And finally, do spend time on BRILLIANT!!!
Feel free to comment you views and to ask any kind of doubts..
More to follow......!!!!!
EDIT 1 - Hey guys.. thanks for liking this note. I am having vacations right now, and besides coding and reading some novels, i have nothing much productive to do. So, if you guys would be kind enough to give me some suggestions on further notes which i can write on JEE, i would be extremely obliged to you all!! Thanks again!
EDIT 2 - Hello everybody! It has been almost 3 years since I wrote this note. I have not been on brilliant since then, as my life changed radically and took some very unexpected turns. I just visited the website today to have a fresh air of nostalgia and was overwhelmed by your responses.I would like to ask you guys a question : How are you? How have you been doing? How is JEE going on? Feel free to comment and I will love to read your thoughts and stories:) If you have any questions, then shoot! I will try to answer as much as possible.

Its a really helpful advice given to me by a few other people as well....but I end up feeling that everything is important and my "short notes" end up being quite long.....!! Any advice on how to counter that???
Yeah, happens with me too when I study for the Boards (Terminals). Especially in SST, CBSE sets the paper in such a way that all the one markers are from places you can't imagine :(
Log in to reply
Hey Krishna... These short notes which i am mentioning above are meant for revising for competitive exams like JEE. For your boards, you need to study your board textbook thoroughly in order to master each and every detail.. I agree with your proposition that one markers are picked up from corners which students often neglect.. i would suggest that study for your boards just one month before your terminals, so that you need not remember those details for a long term... in JEE, you would not be asked deep theoretical details (except in inorganic chemistry). Good luck...! :)
Hey Tanya... Good to see that you find the advice helpful... Actually, these short notes are more helpful in physics, mathematics and physical chemistry. All you have to do is pick up a diary, then , first of all, list down all the formulae of the chapter (of course, you must be knowing the meaning of them beforehand). Then, moving on, list out all the exceptional cases and some tricks for solving problems. I don't think that this will take more than 2-3 pages. Also, while revising from mainstream notes, you may have noticed that some particular definition you had forgotten. Observe all these definitions which you forget frequently. I don't think there will be too many of them. List these definitions, which you forget frequently, in that diary. That's it. You are done... :).. all the best...!
The thing is I am really bad at deciding what I should I enter in my short notes because almost every second question(especially maths) involves a trick or could have been done in another better method compared to mine....I remember doing this for the chapter "straight lines", My short notes were almost a duplicate of my original ones and though it took a long time, that is my strongest chapter. I am pretty sure I don't have the time to do a repeat of that..... Also, I found the NCERT Physics (Electrostatics Chap 1) a really intersting read and quite helpful...so thanks for suggesting that

Hey..I heard ur in pace...I am too though my rank is way below urs...I wanted to know in phy would u recommend hc verma or doc pandey or our crash course books for the revision in mains...also how are u splitting ur time between boards and mains... Others can reply too :)
Thank u Bhaiya, I am entering 11th, Feeling atmosphere of Competation for JEE, and thanks for ur helping note,

Anytime... :).... feel free to ask any doubt which you may face in future.. all the best!!
It takes a lot of time for me to solve HC Verma and my coaching module....is this normal for a person studying these topics for the first time or am I at fault????
It is perfectly normal. At this stage of preparation, focus on "quality" rather than "quantity". Or in other words, don't worry if you are not able to solve multiple sources of problems, and are taking more time in HC verma and Your coaching modules. But make sure that whatever you solve, you solve it perfectly... Good luck..long way to go... :)
If I am not able to Crack JEE. Then what you would recommend: Take a risk and give it another go or Feel just fine and go for normal engineering? Please don't get annoyed by my questions. you are only one who answered my big questions. Thank You for your previous answers which will help me henceforth.
Don't think about success or failure at such an early stage. You are still in class 9th and i told you that right now you just have to sit back and relax. Don't study for the sake of JEE. At this juncture of time you should enjoy other subjects like English literature, history, political sciences, classical and western music, Dramatics. This stage is for accumulating multidimensional knowledge, rather than studying for a set goal. Don't think that above mentioned subjects are of no use to you. NO! These things may not directly appear in your engineering curriculum but believe me that these will surely be of great use in longer run. You will realize it later in your life. Even in 11th and 12th, when you will be focusing on JEE, don't study because "you want to clear an exam called JEE.". Study "for the sake of accumulating knowledge and for the love of subject". And never study by keeping in mind that i want a rank of say top 100 or top 200. No. Study just by thinking that you have to give your best... Good luck.. and yeah.. Enjoy life...

One doubt: When did you start preparing for the JEE? And when is it advisable to start? I am in class 9 right now.
Thanxx for your guidance...!!!!
Is R C Mukherjee a good book for inorganic chemistry as some of my peers use it. and is A Das Gupta's Mathematics a good book? Will HC verma work for me for JEE mains or shall I use DC Pandey too for JEE mains as most of them said that DC Pandey is for only JEE Advanced... Also is doing NCERT , module and class notes enough for the preparation of JEE-Main , BIT-SAT ,for entrance tests in Manipal univ , Amity etc ? Is BIT-SAT a very difficult exam? And last one : As I am in State board and syllabus is slightly different so can you tell how can I divide my time for JEE main study and for 12th boards? Its a big big question as I suffered a lot when I was in 11th?
Never heard about RC mukherjee's inorganic chemistry, but the same author's physical chemistry book is good for higher level problems. A Das Gupta is good, but it does not have new type of problems. New version of DC Pandey has both sections - Mains and Advanced and it is a very good book. Yes, i think that it is enough for the exams you mention. BITSAT is a very easy exam but requires a great deal of accuracy and speed. I suggest that give 25% of your preparation time to boards and 75% to competitions. Good luck!!

Do you think it's wise to spend time on Brilliant? If Yes How many Hours per day?
I would say that this question requires insight. Personally I spend an hour on school days ( today, I've spent more than that! :( ). This is because I have to school for 8 hours a day. You may have lesser school hours. So, its like that. :). Do you know of any good resources for Algebra?
I am preparing for JEE too, So I wanted to know if spending time on Brilliant can affect JEE Preperations. For Algebra I would suggest Higher Algebra by Hall and Knight.

Hello. Could you tell me if it is possible to prepare for jee mains -2016 starting now? If yes, could you give me advice?
@kirtan bhatt
im certainly not the type of a person who's can take this much competition so i've decided to opt for a different career like a teaching profession or agriculture. what other career options should i include im very good at Biology and chemistry and at my place we don't take a year off for jee so its like you have to take up jee , neet , and all the other stuff along with your boards
can anyone suggest what decisions i should take after 12th regarding the teaching profession or agriculture so that i can build up a grt future and a career
Any chances of success in JEE advance after 1 year drop?
Why not?? in fact there are greater chances for your success in JEE after 1 year drop, provided you study real hard , say 10-12 hours daily (as you will not have to bother for schools or boards). Go to kota or join some good correspondence course. If you don't believe what i say, just have a look at this - https://www.quora.com/Indian-Institutes-of-Technology/Has-anybody-who-rewrote-JEE-got-a-rank-below-300
Your Points are great which gives me energy. I have heard that you should join JEE coaching from beginning of 8th only. Now I am in 9th and keeping a aim to go for JEE but if I join Coaching module next year in 10th or 11th. Please tell me is it going to matter?
According to me, 2 year classroom coaching program is more than enough for JEE. Don't bother to join coachings from 9th or 10th. I mean, my friend, that you need to enjoy your childhood!!! Till your class 10th, you are just supposed to pay attention to whatever is taught in your school, and make sure that you keep your fundamentals strong.. If you consider my case, i never touched a book untill 10 days before my 10th boards and still managed to score a decent 9.8 (out of 10) C.G.P.A. in C.B.S.E. So my point is, just enjoy till class 10th. I would suggest that after your 10th boards get finished, take a 15 days break and start preparing for JEE. Join some reputed institute or otherwise join a correspondence course (one by RESONANCE is best). Good luck and chill.. :)
One more question I would like to ask is: is cracking JEE all about how we prepare for it or its all about logic? In other words, Do JEE examination contain any sums that we had already dealt with in our preparation books?
Ah..! A singular question indeed.... I would say, that success in JEE never depends upon a single factor like "LOGIC", "HARD WORK", "LUCK" or any other.. it is like a chemical compound composed of a number of different elements.. And its true composition is never known.. Or in other words, it varies from person to person.. You can succeed in JEE, if you work hard, but it is also necessary that all other factors also turn out to be in your favor on D-DAY. To answer your question "Do JEE examination contain any sums that we had already dealt with in our preparation books?", i would say that it is NEVER POSSIBLE that the whole question would be asked as it is given in the book. However, there is a slight possibility, that they may ask the same question in a totally different manner by twisting in it in some unrecognizable way. (Again, there is just a slight possibility. Most of the times JEE problems are truly original.)
Hey, I am in class 12th currently. I want to know what are my options in engineering colleges except IIT, favorably those who provide good packages, you know. And are there any good research colleges in India that just consider the Mains rank, or no rank at all? And yeah one more question, I am in a coaching, so the atmosphere is too competitive, and it has made my life monotonous, like really dull. So what would you suggest? I do 4-7 hours of self-study. Is that enough or should I pump up more?
Hmmm.. You have put up many questions which i will address one by one. See. There are many good colleges in India apart from IITs. But the point is that don't run after packages. Packages are very misleading. In my opinion, placements are not a correct parameter to evaluate a college. But still, if you want to judge a college by placements, then always see that "Which companies come for placements" rather than "How much salary do they offer." And, you shouldn't think about all these things right now. Anyways, let me give you a list of colleges which are good- 1) BITS pilani, goa and hyderabad campuses 2) IIITs 3) NITs (especially NIT trichy, warangal and surathkal) 4) Delhi technological university 5) DA-IICT, Gandhinagar 6) NIRMA University, Ahmedabad 7) VIT 8) BIT mesra 9) Thapar university and many more.
Coming to your next question, frankly, i am not aware of any such research institute. There is IISC, but then, i guess that it also demands for KVPY rank. I would suggest you to google it or ask one of your teachers. Also, i would recommend that you should give SAT as well. There are some excellent research universities in the U.S. (including the coveted ivy league colleges).
Now, if your coaching atmosphere is competitive, then rejoice it!! It is a plus point for you indeed. If you are a school going student and are studying for 4-7 hours a day, then it is more than enough. On the other hand if you don't attend a school, then you should study for 10-12 hours a day (non-coaching days) and 6-7 hours (coaching days). Having said that, i would also like to point out that focus on quality study. If you are managing to be in top 5 % of your institute with 4-7 hours of study then don't increase it. Otherwise increase your study hours as mentioned. Also in last 3 months, make sure you pull it to 12-14 hours a day.
Hmm thank you so much. The reply you wrote is so helpful! And that quality study thing, I will keep that in mind for sure. But I wanted to ask you that if packages are misleading, then on which basis should I judge a college? Once again, Thanks a lot!

Cool.....i am confused where to go after my boards.......Sri Chaitanya...which produced this year's topper or FIITJEE which has a high success rate or Resonance whose revision tests are similar to that of the JEE question paper.....Please advise me By the way.....are you in IIT ?

No.. I am not in IIT yet.. :).. Why? because results are not declared yet.... :P... And in my opinion resonance would be the best option.
Hey! I'm in class 12 and have taken PCM + Eco. Earlier I was interested in law or eco not IIT. But now I'm thinking that I should prepare for JEE too as a back up plan...... but i don't go to any coaching or anything. It's just that when I read NCERT and make notes, I ensure that i'm clear about everything and refer to Solomon/ JD Lee /MTG: Interactive physics as and when required. However i know that it's not enough. Should I focus more on boards as I'm also considering doing my engineering abroad (Singapore/Hong Kong) (they only require excellent board results and good record of extracurricular activities). Please advise as to what should i do?
Hmm... You are quite in a mess...Anyways let us figure out if you can get out of it... First of all, law/economics and engineering are two completely different arenas. It is not at all possible to prepare for them simultaneously, as JEE requires 100% of your dedication. And seeing your circumstances, i would suggest you to just focus on your boards right now. And, if you are interested in going abroad, i would say that prepare for SAT. There are some marvelous institutes in U.S. Also, if you want to go to Singapore, then go for National university of Singapore (N.U.S.). It is a first rate institute and is consistently appearing in top 30 in the world.
Thanks a lot for your advice. If I managed to score 90% in class 11, do you think I'll be able to make it to say 98% in 12th? Also, I'm planning to do engineering only because I want to take up Intellectual Property Rights and related fields which do require a technical degree. At the same time, I believe that Engineering with Economics is a very good option, considering I really enjoy science and economics both and do find law quite fascinating. Do you really think i need a degree from IIT / NIT then? I think NTU, NUS and HKU are very good choices (outside US of course)

There is a question that is apart from JEE: our schools are telling us to buy reference books for class 9. I already have MTG foundation course physics 9th and thinking of buying chemistry and biology. My friends have bought S Chand. So can you tell me which to buy S Chand or MTG as references?

Arihant books are really good if you really want reference books.

Thank you so much!! No my friend. I am not from Kota. Every JEE ranker isn't from quota, eh? Actually I belong to a town in Gujarat, called Anand. I don't know if you have heard about it or not. It is quite famous for AMUL dairy. And if you want to contact me, or if you have any doubt, you can ask here in comments. Otherwise, if the matter is really urgent or pressing, you can mail me at [email protected]. But please mail me only if it is VERY VERY urgent and important. As to other social networking sites, i am not on FB ( I deleted my account). Though, you will find me on Quora.

Hey first thnx for ur great post well I am in 12 right now and I am facing great difficulty with inorganic part I could hardly remember it for a week or so is there any aid? Also when should I start my revisions for jee? I am done with 75% and should I wait till it finishes or start parallel revision?
For inorganic, stick to NCERT. Make your own handwritten notes once or twice from NCERT, then keep on revising it, say, once in a week. Right now, don't start revising the theory. Keep on solving problems from previous chapters (important ones first). Once you are done with 100% portion of 12th, revise your theory as well. And then again start solving problems from revision package and other sources.. Good luck... :)

What do u think of JD lee for inorganic?
Thanks for the great advice!!! What is your opinion on studying for the jee daily in the company of a classmate? I live 2 minutes away from a classmate and recently we've started studying together. We study for about 95% of the 3-4 hours I'm there. How do u think this will impact our jee preparation?
See mate... studying with friends has both advantages and disadvantages... In my opinion, never "STUDY" with a friend... I mean, study alone, solve problems alone, and then "DISCUSS" the doubts together.. do you get it??? good luck... :)

How can I help you? You need to solve as many problems as possible, till you have a sound command on the subjects. Conics is a really interesting topic and besides good problem solving capacities, you need a good visualisation power. All the best :)

@kirtan bhatt,
I think Comprehensive JEE ADVANCED FOR PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, MATHS BY TMH(mac-graw hill) is the best one to prepare and know the types of questions.
Also physical chemistry by Raymond Chang is much simpler than NCERT language!.
Will you comment anything on these books?
any suggestions?
@kirtan bhatt bro...u r great! ur advise was extremely helpful.but im facing problems in physics and revision of previous chapters. im not able to do physics problems, i understand theory but soon forget it nad repetitive learning, thorough revising and what not, but nothing works for me. so please suggest something. about the revision part, it feels like i wasted my vacations while i could have revised previous chapters. please suggest me an efficient way of revision.
Hi. I am in class 11th. I decided to buy cengage for my math and dc pandey and hc verma for my physics. But i cannot really decide which books will be the best for chemistry. However these books are for additional reference only. I prefer NCERT above all.
Hi bhaiya i wanted to ask if you got into IIT and if yes then what was your rank?
Hey Kirtan, I'm a class 11th student...Loved the article...Anyways i want to be an astronaut and i consulted my teachers who recommended me IIT Kanpur is good for Astronaut programs, But i would like to explore more options...Would love to gain help of a senior...and again, quite an interesting and helpful article...Thanks :-)

Technically, no IIT has a hard core astronaut programs. There is aerospace engineering course, but then, it is more related to aeronautics rather than astronomy. If astronomy is your cup of tea, then i would recommend IIST (Indian institute of space technology). They admit you through JEE mains.Good luck.... :)

In class 11 I joined local tuitions and was completely focusing on CBSE.I thought I would start preparing for entrance but was unable to do. Now presently in 12 I have joined a coaching institute for entrance. Now m able to solve ques of physics and chemistry but lagging in maths. Could you please suggest me some tips on maths and important topics of physics and maths of class 11 which should I prepare thoroughly
Hey kirtan! i see you havestressed on the importance of NCERT but the truth is that my college tests coincide with my coaching centre's IIT tests, so i dont really get the time to go through the NCERT books. Instead i just study my coaching material. PS- some of my teachers also stress on NCERT, but i feel its kinda late to start, as i have already finished half of my First year :/ WHAT DO I DO? other than not freak out?
