I messed up my OMR and huge number of silly mistakes in mains... I was not able to cope up with Exam pressure and collapse ... So I deleted Brilliant and now my primary focus is only JEE and JEE and JEE and I have no options since this is my last year ... Hope I will soon overcome with all negative thought's .. and I believe that " I will back soon " . "

In order to attempt JEE advanced, he must be 1 among the top 1,50,000 students, which is pretty good. So I dont think he should be filled with negativity.

Error to be corrected in VMC answer key.
The answer to the question : A signal of 5kHz frequency is amplitude modulated on a carrier wave of frequency 2MHz. The frequencies of the resultant signal is/are :
Answer should be 2005,2000,1995 kHz and not 2005,1995 kHz.
Refer NCERT.

You are right because the periodic function of the output tension can be written in terms of three cosine functions such That the frequencies are: 2000khz-500khz, 2000khz and 2000khz+500khz which Is the answer.
Is 3 hours sufficient to complete the paper.
Hey I got 290 marks. Chemistry 100. Maths 98. Physics 92. I should have got better marks.

paper was indeed easy, I did not leave any physics problem, though i did leave two maths problems (the boxes problem where he said boxes were indistinguishable but options were of distinguishable and the locus of image ) and two chem problems (the one where which salt is not yellow was asked, and the one where the polymer used for paint was asked)
hope fully i have not done too many silly mistakes, i shall be more precise only after Fiitjee relases its answer key

I would use the word exhilarating instead of exciting (because the former may or may not be pleasant), but yeah, this is the final lap of this two year long bloody marathon(I do feel rather strongly about the whole cut-throat competition thing).

two year long for you guys perhaps, i wasted my first year in meaningless activities , but yes still a marathon, just give everything i got to jee advanced and then i will never read a thing except physics and math all day all night! i am sure you have similar plans

Spot on! That is the only thing I've wanted to do for a loooong time now. The pain of learning what colour bloody sulphides and carbonates and precipitates and what not, is sometimes just too much -_- (the sad part being they do ask such questions even in the advanced paper)
And you wasted your first year? By wasted I think you mean you became a total badass at physics and learnt advanced concepts and cleared Inpho in the process! :D

indeed they do, there are a lot of (to be remembered stuff) in advanced as well, which many dont realise,
no, i wish what you said was true, but i did waste it , it was the summer holidays of 2014 when i realised could barely solve a few problems of jee advanced 2013 when i realised i have to run, and run fast and keep running faster, fortunately i could atleast partially catch up, and managed to crack inpho as well (you see i was interested in science back then as well, which probably helped me catch up, but i lacked the skill as i underestimated the vastness of knowledge and over estimated myself)

This is sheer nonsense about what is commented about arts students. That is a subject! After all, Humanities is the most difficult subject as far as I am concerned. I have seen a lot and some of them are great. Maths and Science are not the ends of life, they are just 2 illusions created by parents.

What is negative in that? You do understand Hindi, right? I said "you left out the Arts people" in case you don't.
Karan Shekhawat said every 17/18 year old gave the JEE. Pranjal replied that Commerce students were an exception. I said Pranjal had also forgotten about Arts students in his exception.
Yes bhaiya I thought that there were going to be two papers but came to know now that for B.Tech students there is only one paper.

What you are getting cause I was getting 2.45 V/m.
In VMC answer key it is written as 5.48 V/m.

There are two solutions indeed one root is repeated, also I have verified by putting each root into the original equations.

@Mahimn Bhatt; with vidyamandir's latest answer key, I am getting 267.
Could have easily got near 300 if there were less silly mistakes done.
MY SILLY MISTAKES
1)I marked 6/2 as 6, was knowing my mistake but couldn't correct it.
2)marked (-2,-1) as (2,-1).
3)in question of calculating number of points inside the triangle, i was thinking in my mind that the side points are not to be included, but still calculated 40 more points in a hurry or some other mind state.
4)took 1,1,3 as three different solutions.(not understanding why I didn't saw that 1 is repeating)
5)in properties of triangle question, took ABC in opposite manner.
6)in physics question, where 2 boys throw stones up, i was knowing my mistake but couldn't correct it.
7)physics problem, of inelastic collision, while conserving momemtum and calculating change in energy took different total masses in both cases i.e. 3m in momemtum equation while 4m in calculationg loss of energy.
8)in chemistry, calculated 54mg for 3g of charcoal, but missed that the answer was to be given for 1g of charcoal.

298 is a very good score ...
2 is the right answer. '1' comes out as repeated root.
I am probably getting somewhere 300+ or even 310+. Thankfully didn't make many silly mistakes!

no, you gotta derive it, you see the field due to one charge varies as k/r^2
so kq/(r)^(2)-kq/(r+d)^(2)= force by charge on dipole = (approx) -2kp/r^3 (using calculus, where p is dipole moment (qd))

Indeed i will, fortunately i am not interested in many movies (and i hate fast and furious series) , also i think pure advanced prep will be just as entertaining for us, keeping us on the edge

Unfortunately I didn't looked at watch so carefully. Also I solved questions randomly and in no pre-selected or particular idea. But I think I gave 1 hour to maths, 45 minutes to chem and 1 hour to physics

Well 1.5 hours for physics was not strategical but I was able to complete other parts in that much time. But even in 1.5 hours I had to leave 7 questions.
I am starting to get the feeling that I don't belong here . ha! Getting only 200 ,mainly due to phy . hope advanced goes well. Anyways congrats @Ronak Agarwal ,@Mvs Saketh N other such brillianters !!!

My view is that speed calculations may be necessary in in our initial stages of preparation,towards the end I think accuracy will play a much bigger role.

I saw that earlier too. I thought he quit brilliant to prepare for Advance but now he has deleted his account. I tried to find the time when he wrote this status by checking his activities but I didn't find anything. I think he deleted them too.

What steps would you all suggest for me for JEE ? I am a Class 10 passout in 2015 aspiring for JEE. I have around 15-20 days time before my coaching classes begin .
