This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.
When posting on Brilliant:
Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

:P sorry.... we are testing themes out, so for JOMO 5 maybe there will be no theme again... or if there is another theme it will definitely not be Combinatorics and probably Inequalities or Algebra or Trigonometry :P
Hmm... solved all but 4 now... seems to be a theme. Are they all supposed to be Combinatorics? Because my rating is like 1502 for Combinatorics... this could be ugly. :O
hey @Finn Hulse i want to ask you that in which grade do you read ? because it seems that you are too Brilliant for your age !!! buddy its just 13 , when i just learnt how to solve linear equations in two variables

Why is it combinatorics only? I suck at combinatorics.

Yes, the theme is combinatorics.

I read college level, grades 12.9+. But yeah, I'll be 13 on the 5th of May.
OMG #2 is literally impossible! I have been hacking at it for ages! Sorry for the running commentary. :D
I have a few doubts on some questions. How can I clarify them?
