It basically speaks about Uncertainty, basically, from Science to religion everything is a belief, it might be true or not, and also we might never know the exact truth and thus always be uncertain. However, things which are well-defined like Maths, Logic are consistent within themselves assuming we have the proper set of axioms. Read about Godel's Incompleteness theorem.

DEVLOK with Devdutt Pattanaik It is a book on Hindu mythology but at the starting of the book, there is some good philosophy which has a resemblance to Uncertainty, Godel's Incompleteness theorem implicitly. Otherwise, it is filled with Hindu mythology stories.

It’s a good song, I guess. But Rick didn’t actually make it. It was originally a meme where people have a misleading link to ‘rickroll’ them. It’s pretty funny sometimes.

I just used this command \color{random} in my new problem and it didn’t give an error, but always shows the colour black to me, do you guys see it in different colours?

i'm not sure how random works in LaTex. in other languages a funktion is used to generate pseudo-random values. so if the function is started, it always starts with the same numbers in the same order.
therefore an initial value can be given to create a more random looking value. often the time is used for that.
anyway: if you can access the current time in ms then you can just use the last digits to create a somehow random value.

random is not a latex code, so usually if latex doesn't recognize a color code, it goes to default a.k.a black.

but sometimes it's very time consuming to read all that was posted. (tbh i had to learn quite a lot of self-discipline to avoid checking all notifications.)
regarding deleted posts: every correction of a post creates a new notification but only the newest one leads to the post.
so you were mainly missing wrong spellings or changed wordings.

I didn’t actually calculate it. I asked my dad and he gave me the answer. Vaguely. He also mentioned that the question didn’t make much sense and so I sort of cheated. I don’t actually know how it was solved.

Kinda...but its not spam, its one line of latex. The comment bar just disappears. Me, Frisk, Nathan, and Pall (deleted account, he's the one who created it) all know how to do it, but Nathan loves it the most, so we let him do it. Frisk organizes our tricks and forms more creative new tricks. Nathan's the nuke bomber. Pall's the brains, he creates the most tricks and I'm the...Percy, I guess...I don't really know what I do, but it's probably something important :)

No, sometimes my latex seriously doesn't render, like now. It gets really laggy and all, and websites take 5-10 minutes to load. Usually when I preview a solution it happens, and its happening when I previewed my solution in today's problem. I've asked BM about this but BM told me the engineers are working on it.

@Percy Jackson I found a way to nuke with the help of Num ic, it’s a little different but very annoying, I assume the nuke you were talking about was the abyss right, this one stops all notifications from a note(I think only mentions get through) and also gives error messages if you try to comment

Oh yeah I remember one point now, even if u do a brain exchange ultimately, it’s the eye that takes signal to pass to the brain so any difference should occur at the eye, and I think people have replaced whole eyes (not just the cornea, etc)by now, and if they don’t see any differently then we all see the same(mostly)

For calculating probability, you need the no. of outcomes, and the bias of each outcome, but for science, you don't know anything for sure, did you create the world, maybe you did, you don't remember maybe you didn't what are really the laws of this world? These are just probabilities and truth is just diminished.
Newton’s laws were probably true, now general relativity might be probably true, quantum mechanics is probably true, you can’t measure these probabilities because it’s not a probability infact, it’s either the truth or not, we can just calculate the probability from what we know and observe, the more a theory predicts and is shown to be true it’s more likely to us to be true

Yes, you are uncertain if this world is true or not as it seems, thus similarly we can't be certain about the laws of the world it is just a belief, what if the next second the laws of the world change?

That is very wrong, don't confuse mathematically probability with human intuition so much. Suppose I give you a coin, and you have to say me is it biased or not just by flipping the coin and seeing its outcomes. Even if it is heads million times you cannot say it's biased as even a fair coin has a very close to 0 but non-zero chance of getting heads million times but by human intuition, one would want to say it's impossible which is wrong.
You might want to learn about probability distributions then, I can be 99% certain that the coin is less biased than 1% after enough throws, knowing exactly might be impossible but approximations do the job

I said for sure, I never mentioned the word approximations. Approximations can sometimes go horribly wrong, what if the coin then comes tails a million times, lol.
It’s like this I flip a coin, I see it’s heads, I ask you to tell the probability it’s head, you will say half, but I will say one because I know exactly. I flip a coin ten times and it comes heads nine times, I flip it again and see the result, I ask you if it is heads or not, you say you are just 90% sure of the answer, but I know what it exactly is. When we can’t see the whole picture, observation is the only we can find out how true we are, you do not and can not see the whole picture to calculate the probability the science theories we have are true

Sometimes even the outside perspective may also not know the truth, because what is perspective, it can also be uncertain. You flip the coin but what if it comes tails, bcuz you are also uncertain what will happen in this world.

The moment you say that no outside perspective knows the truth, it means that we are living in a world where everything acts randomly, nothing is known, absolutely nothing ,not even probabilities, no laws exist, it then means that no matter how much we progress in science we will never achieve perfection, and that’s good because whatever we know will always apply then

Uhh it is very hard to explain, we are uncertain of most of the things, we cannot find what is truth, all we can do is find possibilities and just believe or not proof like Science is the belief in observation, it might not be the truth. For example, the earth if it exists could be flat, and not spherical maybe we are fooled in this belief of observation or maybe not. We are just uncertain about not well-defined things. You just believe you can never know the actual truth.

No, I was just saying that you can play these if you like open-world's. Also, I read the story of Horizon Zero Dawn, its pretty cool. They use names of Greek gods for the terra-forming systems that Dr. Sobeck creates. GAIA, HADES, APOLLO, and HEPHAESTUS.
if you like open world, i can recommend ghost recon wildlands (if it is on sale, it just costs 15 euro).
i assume horizon zero dawn is nice too, but i haven't tried it yet.
i assume i will not buy a PS5 in the next 1-2 years bcs it's very expensive.

I am in twelfth standard(twelfth grade in Germany) and in India this is a crucial time, cause depending how good you do in twelfth, you get a good college(overpopulation and very few seats is the major problem)

Problem is that most of the children born, are born into poverty, so since most of the population is in poverty, there are reservations in place, disproportionate reservation, and it’s only to backward castes and not to below poverty line, so getting seats in general gets all the more harder(they are also doing stuff like if you have a reservation and you get a good rank you will be taken out of reservation and someone else will take that place, as if general doesn’t get enough seats already, being a boy makes it even more harder, a girl getting a good rank gets her a better place than a boy, but seeing that most toppers are boys, the reason is justifiable)

I am a Christian, there’s no reservations for minority, I can easily apply for OBC, but didn’t because I want to be in general, I feel it’s cheating to take advantage of your caste if you are well to do and don’t require it. There are many others I see who take advantage of this, personally I feel like kicking them, reservations should be shifted to below BPL in my point of view

Yeah this corrupted caste sytem sucks, some of the bigotreous people who call themselves Hindus do not follow the real caste system which is actually flexible, where even Lord Krishna himself said your caste depends on what work you do not on your birth, but due to British and Manusmriti it is all corrupted now ughh.
There was a point of so much reservation that to get into Indian services you needed to get more than -11, meaning you leave the answer sheet blank and you get in(it’s considered to be a very hard exam, I have not seen what they need to study, but it was easy to see that the reservations are not justifiable)

Yeah there's a dimension called the End in MC where you go to beat the final boss. Basically you've got to collect some materials like Ender pearls and blaze rods, get diamond armor and tools, and find a dungeon. Inside the dungeon is where the End portal is. After arriving in the end, you have to beat the Ender Dragon. Once it's dead, you get an ender dragon egg. Then you can leap into the portal and the credits roll.

You are supposed to learn from the quizzes. Each quiz has some tips before that you can check out, and there are stories that can be unlocked some time later. The whole process is gamified and made fun, so don't expect textbooks and reading material there.

I have come to the point where I am thinking in either a French accent, and Indian accent or an American accent. I’m not sure if that is normal, as I speak in a British accent, but I think in another. I have to consciously force myself to think in a British accent. I can speak Bengali and English, also a little bit of french but I mainly think in English. I just think in those particular accents. (Indian, french, and American). I don’t think it’s a serious disease, but i guess it is like what happened in ‘Three Men in a Boat’. The man didn’t know he had any diseases until he read about the disease and thought that he had all the symptoms. His doctor told him that “don’t talk about things you don’t understand” or something. I think I only think that I have this disease because I watched a video about it.

I speak and think in both the same Indian accent albeit I can mimic the other ones.
It’s very normal, in India most people think in just one language and speak in all other languages, I normally think in the language I am speaking in (sometimes not for Hindi), but sometimes I think in English and speak in my mother tongue or vice versa, and in those situations, I start to create new words

If I am playing something and my dad asks what I am doing suddenly, instead of saying ‘valaditta irrukae’, I would say ‘valad-ing’ ( valadae means play, the itta has no specific meaning I think, irrukae means now )

My thoughts don’t change, just my accents. Once I began speaking in a French accent to my sister by accident. She looked at me weird and went away. I mean, I think about weird things, like why bread comes sliced nowadays. When I think about American things, I don’t always think American. The french accent comes from setting most of my games to french (I’m trying to learn it, I’m terrible at learning new languages through memory. Usually, it comes from reading in that specific language, that’s how I learnt English - it’s not my first language) the American accent comes from most of the shows and movies I watch, and up the english accent comes from growing up with my British friends and teachers.

Yes... I used to scale rocks and go to mountains before coronavirus. Sometimes the walls were artificial and I had to get there first. Search it up, it’s real. There was also one where I had to climb up and extreme obstacle course, race across the bridges, ropes and bars and then go down a ninety metre zip line.

I'm more into like Sci-fi and thought provoking movies, the only thrillers I watch are superhero movies. Marvel, DC, Star Wars etc. I can tell you some good sci-fi movies though.

I hate horrors, and Bird Box is one of the closest I have watched. I was terrified in the first few scenes, when all those suicides started. I skipped a few bits and I just looked up the ending. I do however read about ghost stories and eerie legends. I think I read them just to prove to other people that I’m not afraid of scary things. The stories keep me up at night too. I just can’t tell anyone who knows me personally.

😂 To be honest, something that haunts you after watching it or gives you a thrilling feeling throughout the body is very fun to me, and thus horror and thriller are my fav genres. But being brave doesn't means you don't get scared, the feeling of fear is a bit necessary as it gives you the conscience to fight properly and not just go straight away to fight without any planning. You can be the bravest person on earth, but if a nuke is falling on your head you can't do anything most probably.

Even when I had Premium, I used to learn the courses rarely rather I used to use Brilliant fot discussions of STEM and chats like this, bcuz after all we are social beings and this was the only thing that made Brilliant one of the unique websites but now removing it won't be a good thing for Brilliant.org as well as for us ☹️

Yeah, Brilliant is a for-profit organization, so it would target to improve its features that more people use, which happen to be the courses. They're doing it at the cost of removing community features, which when viewed in percentages, doesn't mean much, but look at the actual community, its huge. Even though a lot of ppl benefit from community, numbers point towards courses, which is why they're upgrading courses. This is just sad. I'm going to post a solution for every daily problem until July just because I can.

From what I have seen brilliant’s community was flourishing in 2018-19 after which it had died down, the number of active community members aren’t a lot, hundreds is what I would say, but the people doing courses are in ten thousands or way more mostly

In front of my bathroom door, when I opened the door, I think the thing was scared of me, it gave me a side portrait view and ran off or glided off in front of me (since it was right in front of me I didn’t see whether it had legs or not)

Oh cool. The closest I’ve gotten to seeing a ghost was when I was in the bathroom too. Well, you see the lights were flickering, which wasn’t all that unnatural, but when I looked in the mirror while washing my hands, the lights weren’t flickering. As in, they were flicking in real life, but it was on the entire time in the mirror.

Sleep deprivation can make you hallucinate. It's perfectly logical to imagine this happened at night. Ghosts aren't real.

The same has happened to me, I don’t think Sarah was looking right into the mirror, your peripheral vision is more sensitive to light than your direct vision, so acc to the front part of your vision everything is very dark, but according to the peripheral part it’s not that dark

Yeah, sleep deprivation was probably what happened. It did happen at around midnight after I was finishing my geometry homework without a protractor. Oh well. I hope ghosts exist anyways.

Percy, do not think I am joking, but the seeing ghost in front of the bathroom part was real, happened in broad daylight right in front of my eyes after I had taken a bath and was fresh, no chance for hallucination, because when I hallucinate I can’t remember what I saw in my peripheral vision, and I very well remember and also the thing was about thirty centimetres from me, and it just disappeared into the wardrobe( didn’t see the disappearing into the wardrobe part, because I was inside the bathroom and acc to the direction it went that’s what could have happened, or just disappear into thin air after it crossed the door), you don’t believe it or not idc, this what happened to me (on 21st Jan 2020)
