For that assertion question, are they asking Seebeck effect or like normal conductor??

Volume occupied by the molecules of an ideal gas is zero. That's why we put V-nb = V

It was easy but who knows if jee can't set an easy paper to increase competition. See you were worried abt getting into top-100 but with that score I must say is enough for a rank of within-20.What's your individual scores and from your centre?

Ppl from my center are also scoring between 160-180.

Ranks in this paper would not be beneficial I guess,because many bright ppl might have made some sillies.(happened in my center.)

@Harsh Shrivastava – Teachers give challenging questions to solve in class for some time and also discuss the doubts of the questions in the class itself.Also assignments are provided to be completed in home.And all the teachers concerned with all of 12th batches get chance to teach u.So u get the exposure from all good teachers.

@Harsh Shrivastava – I marked a-P,b-R,c-P,Q,T,d-Q.x<x2 isn't permissible always say if its less than x(1) the particle can't be found so its clearly incorrect.There is a q of Mutual Independence which I always find in Matrix ones.....Like if a,b,c are in a GP then they can be a AP as well(a=b=c)......This always leads to controversy

Yeah, there shud be no ambiguity in any question, but even in IIT papers are some ambiguities :(

@Harsh Shrivastava – Ya its correct I guess..First one you add 4HI to get 2I but due to large size and vanderwalls forces between iodine they would get eliminated to form a double Bond and next we can add another HI.But I think that Ether cleavage question ans should be both C(2)H(5)OH and the aldehyde.H20 is a better nucleophile than cl right....

@Aniswar S K,@Harsh Shrivastava The only answers that have changed are Chemistry ether cleavage question.The correct answer is given as C2H5O18.But they haven't given the first option as the answer.Maths-Only grace marks have been awarded in q on the polynomial function q,range of y=g(x)(I think that's correct),and answers in the matrix on graph last q hasn't been given as a grace.Physics-Only one the q on current in branch DE is zero. I checked in my fiitjee account.

@Spandan Senapati – There is something hell wrong , my marks in maths and chemistry are according to to the key and I am getting as expectec in them but in physics, I am getting very less, I should have got 79 with the key but they are showing only 44 I don't know why :(

My total should have been 226 but as of this bullshit it is 191, I don't know why but they have damn sure made some mistake in checking my omr. I might have got an air of 76 but now it is 312 :(

Your marks according to current answerkey?I believe some are wrong.

According to current anwer key = 182.

Our maths course not over (not even differential equation completed!) so could not do some in maths,and in chemistry,electrochemistry is left.

@Harsh Shrivastava – Quite sad. Getting 216,as per this key. Although some answers are wrong. I might end up with around 240.But still its not up to the mark. Some answers I feel wrong are heating lead nitrate gives lead oxide, oxygen, nitrogen dioxide..So it's redox. And maths that value of k=1 coz I was getting the value as 21.And physics that inductor(L1 and L2) are wrong. And the matrix on energy, momentum conservation as well.

Also the k4fe(cn)6 one,fe+3 Shud not be the answer, it dissolves, even thought i marked pb+2 also. Also the organic matrix is not full correct I think, what do you all say?

@Harsh Shrivastava – Hey they have asked about if the compound of lead undergoes redox.Not specifically about lead.Nitrogen and oxygen belong to compound and they do undergo redox right.And I also feel the answer to the phy matrix on direction of induced currents is wrong.I expected about 90+ in physics but as per key got only 72.

@Aniswar S K – We had received gmps in mid class 11.No Review booklets in chem and physics.Had got 1 advanced review booklet in physics and 1 for mains.Here its like if you have done the packages,CPPs,and your performance in tests is good(say within top 5 in centre)etc then you can go ask for a gmp right then.

Never ask an IITian about his exams :P . Jokes apart they were good . They were like our typical board exams . Currently i am at home for Durga Puja vacations (West Bengal you see). I Will go back on 2nd October and after that i will come to know how i faired in the midsem exams after knowing my marks :P. Regarding the monotonous schedule thing yeah that happens with everyone .When your syllabus gets over it seems a boring job to do those old things again .I Promise you work hard for 8 months more it will be rewarding. Life at IIT's will surpass your imagination and mark my words your Hardwork will be worth it . Just continue this zeal and I'm sure all of you will come out with flying colors. And if you are feeling tired and getting bored of monotonous schedule then take a day off. Rejoice yourself and motivate yourself to work hard from next day. All the best guys and if you have any problem just ping me on quora or fb . i will be happy to help you

Life at KGP is awesome. the environment here is too good for learning, there are no motorised vehicles as such inside the campus so the campus is lush green , pollution free , away from the hustle bustle of a city and its huge! (2200 acres. KGP Is bigger than the area of IIT Delhi , Bombay and Kanpur combined). The Agricultural engineering department of IIT KGP Is bigger than full IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay :P .(around 400 acres). There are hell lot of opportunities here to explore your interests and pursue them apart from excelling in academics.
