From some time I am trying to solve this problem by using Lagrange multipler but not getting any result.
Find the maximum and minimum value of
\(u\) = \(\frac{x^2}{a^4}\) + \(\frac{y^2}{b^4}\) + \(\frac{z^2}{c^4}\) , where
+ + = 0 and
+ + = 1.
This problem came in my Institute Exam. Kindly help me.
