Hmm, i know that we don't have the knowledge to comment...in the same way that we can't just wake up one day and declare...well, the big bang occured!! lol
xP True that. But honestly, time travel as in travelling, there many theories. I have read countless (by countless I mean countless ) stories and theories.
The most pleasing one was:
If you were given a chance to go back in time and stay in a place that was technologically backward and had no internet connections, would you go there? No, right?
Same way, the future humans, decided not to visit us because we are just a bore to them, they would rather watch a romcom on their holographic TVs

No, it accepts the theory. This hypothesis is based on (assuming) that time travel exists.

We make a hypothesis by assuming something, and use the hypothesis to prove something more comples
