Level 6

Is there anything like level 6, because when I finished my diagnostic and got level 5 it said that he will bump me to level 6 if I did in level 5 well.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Comments

There isn't a level 6 on the site (yet), which you can tell after looking at various profiles.

This doesn't exclude the possibility that we extend levels in future.

Level change will require 2 weeks of performance (apart from the initial week after the diagnostic quiz). Your current weekly performance isn't even beyond 4/8 yet, so you (currently) will not rise a level.

My friend joined Brilliant about 4 days ago, when last week's problem set was about to close. He solved some Algebra and Number Theory problems and was upgraded from Level 2 to Level 3. It hardly took 3 days! But I have been on the site for the past 3 weeks and I have done 6-7 Algebra and Number Theory problems a week and my Level hasn't yet been upgraded.

@Rohan Rao Level change in the first week is more lenient, to correct for the short diagnostic quiz.

I'd send you an email about your performance, since I do not want to discuss it openly.

could u pls say what is the criteria for upgradation of levels?

suresh muthuraman - 8 years, 4 months ago

no. since the levels go by increments of 250, i personally count 2250 as "level 6". if i get a 2500 anywhere, that'll be my "level 7"
