I am demoted to level-2 from level-3 in Physics (i.e. Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism) while I reached level-5 in all other subjects. I did not solve any physics problem last week. Is it the reason behind why I have been demoted?
This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.

Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

By "did not solve", you meant that you did not answer any problem correctly, not that you didn't answer questions at all. More accurately, you answered 1 question wrongly, and left 3 blank. As such, when you answered more problems wrongly this week, you were demoted (as Thaddeus points out).
Note that you can regain your level 3 this week, if you solve the problems correctly.
You were not supposed to be demoted for not doing problems, only for getting them incorrect. So in the week before ,if you made a mistake and didn't do the others you will be demoted.
