This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.
When posting on Brilliant:
Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

We will consider giving everyone the ability to automatically level themselves down. We understand that our diagnostic quizes are not conclusive statements of what kind of problems you should see. Until then, give the hard ones a try this week. I believe our leveling algorithm acts more quickly your first week to account for the fact that the diagnostic quiz is inconclusive (I think this is true, I will check whether or not this is the case). If you struggle this week you will be leveled down next week to a more comfortable level.

Just give the hard problems a try for a few weeks. If you are unable to answer for a few weeks, your level will go down automatically.<like me>
Hi Olivia,
We will consider giving everyone the ability to automatically level themselves down. Thank you very much for understanding and for your further action. I will be trying to do what I'm given now as you say. Thank you very much. :)
Hey Olivia,
For now, feel free to email [email protected] and he will level you down for you. So you don't have to wait a week to get the problems you want.
Just post answer 1,2,3 in answer box of every question for two weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
