LEVELLING UP

I HAD DONE 6 SUMS IN ALGEBRA FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKS AND 7 SUMS IN THE PREVIOS WEEK.THIS WEEK I HAD DONE 6 SUMS.BUT I DIDN'T GET LEVELLED UP.I WILL ALWAYS FINISH THE LAST 2 SUMS.ALSO FOR GEOMETRY THE MORE SUMS I DO THE MORE LEVELS I GET DEPROMOTED . IF ANY OF THE BRILLIANT STAFFS ARE SEEING THIS, PLEASE REPLY ME SOON. THANK YOU

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Comments

Please double check what you have actually done. Students often have the impression that they answered a lot of questions correctly in previous weeks, but my records indicate something else.

For algebra and number theory, you answered at most 4 problems (each week) in each of the prior 4 weeks. This week, you did answer 6 right, though you haven't answered 2 of the last 3 questions. Getting only 10/16 correct over 2 weeks, along with not answering the harder half of the problems, would explain why you are not promoted.

Your performance on Geometry (level 3) is slightly better, but not yet good enough to level up. My records indicate that you were leveled from (from level 4 to level 3) on Feburary 4th, because you had 25% wrong and 50% unanswered.

It depends what level you are on, personally I had to achieve all 8 questions two weeks in a row to move from level 4 to level 5.
