hi guyz i have a thought the students of lower levels of should be given higher level problems only to see .they will not have to solve it but if they want they can just as in the techniques trainer.they will not receive any points but it would satisfy their hunger to solve problems................and the vice versa can also happen.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Hello Leo (and all others who support this cause),
If you see a raging discussion "Where does Brilliant get its problem from?" you'll see the sources are limited. Calvin is undoubtedly a genius; but making 16 different problems for 5 levels every week requires a lot of mettle. Thus problems are repeated, if not fully, keeping the 'problem solving strategy' invariant. Thus I think you'll not be able to see problems from other levels and also previous problems of your level.
Along with this practical cause, I think if you cannot see something, the urge to get it is maximized. So, you'll work hard each week to see what level 5 problems are like. (Its kind of a Pandora's Box psychology)

Hello all,
Abhishek is right both about the practical reason: allowing us to recycle problems and the psychological one: motivate you to strive for a higher level.
That said, it is tempting just to let everyone "see" every problem in a given week. Level five's might also be curious about what is in level two etc... One reason we do not do this is to make it impossible for a person to post an entire bucket of Brilliant problems for a week on a public website to fish for answers. When everyone only sees a fraction our problems in a week it makes it much harder for the entire week to be compromised. I would also like to remind you all that there is a lot of overlap between levels. Meaning the top of level three looks a lot like the bottom of level four, etc...So you are solving problems in higher levels.
As I understand it, what you guy's really want is just more problems period, and the ability to browse concepts and problems that are currently beyond your frontier.
We are making changes to our workflow, the curriculum math category(currently in brief hibernation), and contemplating changes in the problem set format that will greatly inflate the number of problems you can see in a given week, and provide the ability for everybody to browse problems of a range of difficulty outside of the weekly problem set format. When our designs are more concrete, we will share them with the community.

yes i also support u that our urge will decrease but only 36 problems in a week is not enough ..............................i need more and also who support these cause, and our urge will not minimize to 0 as only if we reach lvl 4 or 5 we can have books and master sessions.
and for different levels also some problems are common for consecutive lvls i think 5(as i know from that ones who solved it present on right hand)so not 80 probs in total
i can see my previous problems from the solutions......................
thogh i know it will be tough for calvin sir......................yet its an idea
Make them yourself, if you crave them so much. Calvin and Brilliant are not your slaves.

thnks yaar
Well I have been recently promoted class 10.
Well what Abhishek says is quite correct since it will be very difficult for Calvin Sir to provide so many problems in a week. But still hats off to Calvin Sir.
