A few months ago, I came across this note that opened up a whole new world of free books. It was truly a blessing. But for the past month or so, libgen.org's and its mirrors' servers have stopped responding. I have checked out these mirrors and they're not working:
libgen.in
libgen.net. This site actually redirected me to another website that's called Libgen project. I tried downloading a book from there, but it was "damaged beyond repair", according to Adobe reader. Plus this site had a lot of ads.
libgen.education. This is also the source of material for the mirror gen.lib.rus.ec, which appears to be running, but alas, it only contains the links.
libgen.info.
bookfi.org. This site also has a lot of ads and I had problems when I tried to download a book.
If any of you have discovered a functioning mirror, please let me know.

Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Hello, sorry for the not prompt response to your note,
Libgen.org is really down!
But some of the links still work, and LOL! They have a new domain now

But that one looked infected. I tried to download a,book but it said that it was damaged and hence not readable.
Edit: This is definitely infected. It took me to the App Store to download some app even though I didn't even touch the screen. Don't go there!
Plus the gen.lib.rus.ec one is now asking explicitly for donations to open a new mirror. I think that someone took over their website, tweaked the code a bit to include ads and now, they're making money. I mean, why would you ask for donations to open a new mirror if you already have a newer, better one already?
I was mistaken: gen.lib.rus.ec is now operating. When I checked in the morning, it was still getting the books from libgen.education.
when i open gen.lib.rus.ec it show like this Library Genesis needs your financial support for opening a new mirror! You may donate with Bitcoin, Visa/MasterCard, Yandex.Money. waht is thisssss?????????????

Ya, they are in some financial crisis, apparently. Libgen has been in quite a fix: Elsevier sued libgen over some copyright issue; plus the guy who started libgen also died recently (rip).
Unfortunately, the gen.lib.rus.ec mirror is not functional. It got the data from libgen.io, which is down right now, so you can't download books from there. Sorry to say I don't know any other mirrors. But who knows, they may restart libgen soon enough!
