Comments

The main difference is the gravity.

On earth, there is gravity which guides roots of plants to grow in downward direction but in space this lacks. This might cause some trouble for a tree to grow.

I think the shoot part and the root part of the plant are pushed in opposite direction by the extension in the epicotyl or the hypocotl,so how the growth will be troubled?Although the gravity matters as it also pulls the roots downward but still it acts as an aiding element for growth.I don't know if gravity matters even more.
