what kind of wave? matter wave? electromagnetic? water waves? The question is too unspecific unfortunately.

Those kinds of waves don't have a mass. They have an energy, and that energy can be converted to particles that do have mass (for example I can take two photons of electromagnetic radiation, collide them together, and get an electron+positron back out), but they don't have a mass in and of themselves.

i dont think that wave has a mass because it is a form of energy .

yes i accept but if you see einstien eq energy can convrted into mass but there is a question since it is only applicable to particle thing but if you de brogile eq you find that every object have both particle and wave nature

The mass in a classical water or sound wave has to be defined because it was never a useful concept for the study of classical waves.

see you can do anything .But the point here is do wave has a mass . so ,wave does not have mass because it is a form of energy .And wave is just a moving pattern which donot has a mass . Yes , you can convert it into mass but overall ..........Wave donot has a mass..........................................Thanks
