Math Textbooks (Please Help!!)

Hey guys! I am an average 9th grade math student who wishes to expand his knowledge in math. can you suggest me some books which cover a large variety of topics, has challenging problems, suitable examples. it should also have a simple explanation of the topics. basically the book should make a uninterested math student like me to understand math in a better way. thank you.

p.s. It would be great if the book is available online! Thank you once again!

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

For Geometry :- Evan Chen's Euclidean Geometry in Mathematical Olympiads is a good start.....also, I am not really well versed with it, so I have read only this book
For Algebra :- Start your basics with Hall and Knight to get an idea of problem solving, and then there are a lot of books, for instance try Titu Andreescu or Vietnamese Olympiad books. You can also check out Putnam and Beyond for interesting problems!!
For Number Theory :- Umm, I haven't followed any specific book......there is one called Concrete Mathematics by Knuth. Try that as it covers a lot of stuff...Otherwise, there is this book, but mainly it deals with problems....
For Permutation and Combinations :- I used Kenneth H Rosen's book and also, there is this book...
That's it......and in my opinion, the wikis on Brilliant are AMAZING!!! You should start from there........and one last thing, I suggest you try this before any other book......it is a nice read!!
