  Easy Math Editor

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

A Former Brilliant Member - 11 months, 2 weeks ago

@Jeff Giff, @Yajat Shamji, I would request you both to please delete all these comments as it would make it hard for me to find someone who actually has a query or needs help. You can create a note for planning all this and do this stuff there. Thank you for understanding.

@Percy Jackson,i am not posting solution to warmup problems. Will it reduce my points???Thanks in advance.

A Former Brilliant Member - 11 months, 2 weeks ago

No, it won't affect your points, its just a practice kind-of-thing to understand the basics. And your solution for the 1st sample question is Awesome! Your points will matter from 6th July, when the contest starts :)

Updating now......

A Former Brilliant Member - 11 months, 2 weeks ago

Please remove my name, I don't like the way points are given, and the time problems are posted. I have a lot of school work, and I can't write solutions at the exact time the problem is posted, because I can't have the site open at every time. Sorry, if this comment looks bad.

Hey, @Percy Jackson, where do you live

Do you actually live in the USA, or somewhere else?

What is the time zone used there?

Frisk Dreemurr - 11 months ago

@Frisk Dreemurr Alaska, the time there is a bit different than normal US, and nights there are awesome so I don't sleep at night, I sleep late and wake up late in the morning :) @Hamza Anushath

@A Former Brilliant Member YOU DONT LIVE IN FLORIDA? HOW DO U ATTEND CAMP HALF BLOOD THEN?

Kumudesh Ghosh - 11 months ago

@A Former Brilliant Member YES, I WAS WONDERING THE SAME THING. HOW DO YOU ATTEND CAMP HALF BLOOD IF YOU ARE IN "ALASKA"!?!

@Kumudesh Ghosh, @Percy Jackson

Frisk Dreemurr - 11 months ago

@A Former Brilliant Member I have learnt vapour travel after lot of training :) @Kumudesh Ghosh

Gods can't teleport me coz its the land beyond gods, but I like it there :) @Hamza Anushath

Everyone, I understand that due to the timezone difference, some of you have lost points unnecassarily and that was an unplanned mistake by me, so to make up for it, the Impossible problem has no time points and it also has a 2x multiplier, which can help you make for the lost points, may the smartest Mathathoner win!

A Former Brilliant Member - 10 months, 4 weeks ago
