Mathematics and Art

I have been long intrigued by the close relationship between Math and Art(despite the fact that I cannot even draw a stick figure properly). Now that I have a little time can you guys recommend me some books or sites which I can read or visit regarding this subject? Also feel free to comment your favorite works of art or artists.
