Mathematics Bot for Discord

I am not sure how many of you use and/or know about Discord, but it's a nice platform to talk to others. At the same time, I thought it would be a nice way to maybe create a bot on Discord dedicated to mathematics as a way for people to improve their learning on various math subjects.

At the same time, I was thinking of having it based similar to how it is on Brilliant. But, instead of listing like the math in mechanics and physics, it is mainly based on all of the possible math classes students can take (from Algebra 1 in high school to Linear Algebra or even Differential Equations in college/university). It may add math problems for classes like mechanics and physics, but only the math parts, though.

If it is possible, maybe make it into a points system or even as a way for people to challenge other people in different math problems to see how can solve them faster or such. What do you all think about that idea?

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Awesome that you know about Discord. Do you think it would be suitable for Discord?

But it is used for games so distraction level is high

I use discord very often {for fortnite and communication with peers}... and I think that Brilliant can initiate a server on mathematics and mechanics questions; however I think that making a bot will not be that easy.

It would be wonderful to create a math bot on this platform. But how? Will the bot be tied directly to the person who will be helping. Or it would be the minimum tasks that would be accomplished in a matter of minutes.

Help in math is very necessary. With math bots it will be easier to solve many math problems. In the meantime, to solve problems with learning using the website, it can be seen if you go to edubirdie , which provides help with homework. In my personal experience, I can say that studying is the period in which you are looking for maximum help to solve problems. I think that the Discord platform math bot will replace other outdated math programs.
