Microsoft , through its research division , launched on Thursday , 15 a game for browsers that aims to teach programming . The premise of the game , called Code Hunt , is quite simple, and requires the player to write the necessary code correctly to advance in the game .
The game introduces the player to Java and C # languages . Sure to be the game , you must be a higher purpose , a goal beyond purely learning to program . The tutorial says :
"Greetings, program! Are you an experimental application called CODE HUNTER . You , along with other hunters code was sent on a top secret computer to find , restore and capture the largest possible number of fragments of code. His progress , along with their counterparts hunters will be monitored . Good luck "
To try to teach the art of programming , Code Hunt uses puzzles. The player must exploit them through lanes , and understand the code needed to " catch it " . The score is given based on the elegance of the solution found .
The game features a faulty code and some guidelines for what should be the result of that program when working properly . It is up to fix it properly , using fewer lines to increase the score . Thus , the game tries to teach programming to solve problems .

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.
