My Last Post

A long and boring note ahead , so stop reading if you want !

I have been seeing this same order ever since I joined B'ant .

I had this small doubt .

Can anyone defeat(sorry for my liberal use of words) the Annihilator a.k.a Jon Haussman sir ????

He is one of those people whom I respect very much and hope that maybe I can also become a bit(at the veryyyyy least) like him .

From what I have seen , Pi Han Goh is a very serious contender for it . AK (real name : Abdul Rahman Khaled) was my previous choice , but he's not active any more . (He seems to have created another account of the name : Abdel Rahman Khaled) .

Marios Patsios and Gabriel Merces too !

Yash Singhal , the Indian with the highest points is another candidate for it along with Aditya Raut . Sharky Kesa (who's gonna pile up 400000 points in a few hours or so) and Trevor B and Pranjal are the people with the next highest scores .

Let's see if by the time I'll be back (if at all) , if there's someone who can overtake Jon sir !

Note for the Moderators : I just wanted to post something on B'ant b4 leaving , so I hope u won't mind me doing this ^_^

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Shabarish Ch - 6 years, 2 months ago

Oh! Really? But a reason goes fine, I guess if it's worth to share because I still think there is something troll in it.

Yeah, that's right!

Kartik Sharma - 6 years, 2 months ago

Why are you leaving brilliant???? At least you could provide us with your email address so that we may keep you in touch. Brilliant is loosing one of its "brilliant" members.

Aditya Kumar - 6 years, 2 months ago

It is not as long as I expected it to be.

The only way the Annihilator would be defeated would be when he'd take a long break. He already has a head start and is very hard to defeat now.

Why are you leaving?

Agnishom Chattopadhyay - 6 years, 2 months ago

Dude there is one person who can compete with Jon Haussmann and his name is Miki Moningkai with 971,315 points and is active having streak of 271 days!

Although I am almost a newcomer to this website, certainly I will miss your talent. I do hope you reconsider your decision and show up at least when a challenging problem or note appear and you can cast to us a new avenue to tackle it.

Paraphrasing General McArthur "..the old soldier will never die just fade away in the mist..." I feel it will also applicable to a dedicated mathematicians who never surrender...but I rather see you not fading away

Thank you for your compliments. I am an retired naval architect and engineer so my skill in math are limited, even I do love the subject. Health and works still does not give me too much time to enjoy its practice. Nevertheless I give you today a solution for the problem of the week October 30.

Mariano PerezdelaCruz - 3 years, 7 months ago
