This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.
When posting on Brilliant:
Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

I think the new Home Page needs to be redone. It never changes, and it seems to change the focus of Brilliant from "challenging problems" to self-guided math education. And where's all the great Wiki pages now? I think if the Home Page is not going to be Community (which now I have to keep clicking every time), it should take us to some portal on Wiki pages, with the best or latest featured. You know, like what happens when we open up a news website. Keeps things lively. Otherwise, it feels like I'm back in school, and I don't want that.
I think it's a mistake, because when people not familiar with Brilliant.Org first click on to see what it's about, they're not going to see anything exciting . First impressions are the most important.
It's good. But unfamiliar with it . So it will take some time to adapt according to it. Change is always done for the better. Also I believe that change is the only constant.

I have a request to make. Could you please make the Android app more fluid and functional? I mean selecting the options is not as smooth is other android apps. Plus the loading bar could be redesigned to match the latest material design ui by Google? I mean the entire app could use a lot of material design! I would spend all my nights on the brilliant.org app if this could be included!
I hope this is a reasonable request which could benefit the entire wonderful community on this website!
I happened to visit the site today after about 8 days, and was completely perplexed. I think this model is not that user friendly.
According to me, unfamiliar users may find it odd to see problems and interesting notes under the community tab.
As pointed out by others, .Community may be made the default home page since it, at the beginning itself, introduces the user to lots of questions.

We agree that it's not ideal that the homepage is static. More homepage features are on the way, including featured new problems and wikis.
yeah its right that brilliant has turned from a" challenging question producing website" to a "self a guided math education"
A better suggest. On opening www.brilliant.org, the community tab should be opened as default. :)

That would work great for a cool status..
@Dinesh Chavan is right...Community must be made the default home page @Calvin Lin ..Just a suggestion...since we're very used to it ...

Yes it should be..

Deepanshu and Krishna, your feedback on what should go on the new homepage is welcome on the new discussion happening here.
Also it needs to push harder to click something. It is very uncomfortable. :(

Same here on android
This one is good but the previous one was better. Here the community page should be stored as default under home button.

It's just my opinion. I have not considered the long term effects or anything of that sort.
