  Easy Math Editor

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Hi Suyeon,

The sets should com on the homepage and not the profile. Also, please introduce a feature in which we could follow the tags, I mean that every note or problem with that tag will come in our feeds. It is very tiring to search the CosinesGroup and TorQueGroup for the posts.

Thanks for the sets, by the way!

This feature is awesome!!Really helps to organize the material.

I think the formatting of the sets is not the best. It seems a little out of the Brilliant.org style, with white space on the entire left and right side, unlike problems or notes. Also, the top seems to have too much black and blackspace. However, I know this is a new feature and it will be updated, and I really support this!

One cool way to use this would be to put all of your own problems in a set so you can find them later without scrolling through everything you posted. Also, you can store problems that you haven't solved but want to solve later on in a different set. Finally, you can put different parts of a series of notes in a set for easy access to all of them!

Thanks Brilliant.org staff!

Hey, have a look at the 2nd set leaderboard- I am the 1st one to complete that set!! :) That is probably what the leaderboard indicates- People who have successfully completed the set.

Idea: Can we get an email notification if one of our problems/notes gets put in someone's set?

Trevor B. - 7 years, 2 months ago

Aman Jaiswal - 7 years, 3 months ago

Is there a way where I can save an unfinished problem and finish writing it later?

We don't offer official support for draft problems yet, but here's an idea:

You can create a set called "draft problems". If you publish problems directly into that set, nobody will see them unless they specifically go and view that set. When you are done with the problem, make sure the publish it to your followers by resharing the problem.

Note: after saving the problem for the first time, you can't change the title or the answer, so make sure you get those right on the first save :)
